"After just one half-hour episode, "Kim Possible" (which airs Fridays at 6:30 p.m. and repeats Saturdays and Sundays at 12:30 p.m.) has earned record-setting ratings and rave reviews nationally. A book deal is already in place, the theme song is the No. 1 all-time requested song on Radio Disney and rumblings of movie, video game, toy and other promotional tie-ins have begun to surface."

thats from a local article and in an intreview with Bob Schooley he mentioned disney saw kim as a "potential franchise character".

and also Disney animation has hats and a plush(stuffed) rufus. (which you can get at www.laughingplace.com)

So do you guys think disney will really make products??

I wouldn't doubt it. This is Hollywood we are talking about. This magical land of mystery and wonder, where $20 million dollar marketing deals are made BEFORE the product they are based on are ever developed.

You can market ANYTHING... question is, will people buy it? :p

i'm sure at the next toy fair we'll see a new line up of kim possible action figures and a variety of kim fashion dolls..i could see a company like trendmasters or maybe even hasbro taking on the franchise...i already can invision what they figures would be like....

we'd most likley see a ton of kim variations-scuba gear kim, ski gear kim, cheerleading gear kim, maybe even casual wear/rollerblader kim or something like that.. and of coarse the standard spy gear look kim figure....maybe two ron stopable variations added in...if we got a villan figure, it would first probably be shego...i think that's a pretty realistic look at how the first run of merchandise will look.

Good for them, but hopefully it doesn't fall into the trap of being pushed down everyones throught so much that we get sick of it. I hope not, I like this show. :(

That's something I've noticed lately in the animation business. Most licensing deals seem to take place before a series hits the airwaves. I'm sure Disney will produce a lot of Kim Possible merchandise. Keep in mind they now own two highly marketable properties- Power Rangers and Digimon. I'm sure they're looking from those two examples to see how they can best promote Kim Possible.
