"Blink,"

This is a 3 part story about a blind man with the power to see through the eyes of other men accidentally taps into the mind of a serial killer, Batman finds himself at the center of a conspiracy that reaches from the streets of Gotham straight up into its cathedrals of power.

There is a preview now lets talk about the book.

EDIT: If a mod could put talkback (spoilers) in the title I would be happy. I got hit on the head and forgot. :(

No problem. It's done. ;)

I'll be interested to see what the comments are for this issue - I didn't pick it up, because I've not been terribly impressed with the recent storylines in this title. I'm going on a case-by-case basis, and picking them up if the buzz for an issue or storyline is good.

Let me get things rolling. This was a good story. Kind of gritty. Reminds of me of the last story or something from the 80's. There has been a string of killings and Gordon is doing all he can to find out who is doing it. There is a lot of police and detective work. I like reading that. Then we move into the blind man touching Batman and seeing what he sees. We end the issue with Batman in some killers sights.

The issue has a good story and the art isn't that bad. The two actually compliments each other.

The story really isn't anything out of the ordinary or anything that is a must buy. If you want to enjoy a few pages of good police writing then I would suggest you pick it up.

I loved the story - always love good ole Bat stories especially with Lt. Gordon!!! It's a very interesting story so far - can't wait for the next two parts! Very well written and good solid artwork.

I LOVE LEGENDS!!!! It's a nice change of pace reading Batman stories that are not just in the middle of current continuity!

"Blink," Part 2 of 3. The road to oblivion narrows even further for Blink, the blind man who can "see" through the eyes of those he touches. As Blink makes contact with Batman and uses his "eyes" to discover Batman’s deepest secrets, he is unaware that the "lone serial killer" he’d helped capture was in fact part of a conspiracy — a conspiracy that will stop at nothing to see Blink dead.

"Blink," Part 3 of 3. Blink, the blind man who can see through the eyes of others, is forced to witness an execution through the victims own eyes! And now Batman must track down the murderer without the assistance of the crime’s only eyewitness!

I better start this one out. I don't think there are a lot of loyal Legends readers. I thought this story was good. It was well written and dark. Lots of blood if you like that. It had a nice dark feeling towards it. The best part about the story is that it's over and the next 2 part story involves Jim Gordon. If you got the last 2 parts then I suggest you finish it up, if you didn't then if you bought just this issue you wouldn't be very lost. The art was alright.

I am a very Loyal "Legends" reader/collector. It's unfortunate that there aren't more. I love the "non-continuity" and / or "historical" stories involving the Dark Knight from the past and its always GREAT to see Jim Gordon and Dick as Robin with a modern artistic style.

Legends is one of my favorite reads monthly!!! That being said, I've really enjoyed Blink through the first 2 parts - I think it is a very interesting story and I can't wait to read the conclusion. I haven't had the chance to read anything from this week yet, but as soon as I do I'll post my thoughts!

BTW - I'm really looking forward to the next arc as well!

LONG LIVE LEGENDS!

I used to be a loyal reader of Legends, but this last year or so of stories has just been, for the most part, IMO, awful. I just couldn't take seeing my money go to the title anymore, so I stopped. I now just sort of keep an eye on the title and pick up the storylines that sound somewhat interesting to me.

I think that is what's great about this book. When the Murder storyline was shoved down our throats it gave us a book that we could read as an escape from the storyline. It's just too bad that most stories have been boring like the 5 part Grimm story.

Legends should just go throw and do a major story with a major bad guy and keep doing it till all the bad guys have been covered since it's not a oontinuity book and the stories do not matter in the current time frame.
