$99?!?! You gotta be kidding me!

Yeah, 99.00 is pretty freegin steep! Is that the SRP in Canadian funds?

Considering the three disc set for Sex and the City season two was about $40.00, they want us to pay an additional SIXTY DOLLARS for the fourth disc on the Sopranos set???

Friends, I cannot recommend ENTERTAINME.COM enough! Watch for season two of Sopranos for pre order on there, and you will get it for a good price. They had season one in the fifty dollar range. That's what it should be priced at, anyway. Even if it was $80.00, like season one, that's still too expensive when you compare it to the three disc Sex and the City set.

Speaking of good prices....

Express.com is having a clearance sale right now, and they've got the X-Files Season 2 DVD set up for $74! Not bad for those of us that haven't yet picked it up!

I had three consequtive bad experiecnes with express.com, so I am a little reluctant to try them out right at this time. But I have heard they came under new managership? I had bad experiences with them at the time of their bankruptcy. Are they actually a good site again?

I checked...that hundred dollar SRP is in US funds. Dog! I just choke at the price! I will not buy it over sixty dollars.

Sorry about the mulitple replies. I promise to not do this again, and gather all my info for one post next time!

Amazon.com has season one listed at a hundred dollar SRP, too. Most places I've seen sell it for about eighty dollars, tops. I don't think I have ever seen that set go for more than that. I doubt any online, or brick and mortar retailer for that matter, will charge people a hundred bucks for season two. Still, I am sure you can get it in the fifty dollar range on entertainme.com. I will post a link here when they get it up for pre order.

I had good experiences with them back before they started having troubles - I used to buy all my import Transforers from them. I luckily didn't order anything from them when they were having thier problems. From what I've heard the new management is handling things well, and its such a good deal that I'm gonna try them again.

I know you don't fancy ordering online, but you should check out entertainme.com. They MIGHT do like Amazon.com does and allow you to send in your check or money order thru the mail then you can get the product. Hey, if you can save fourty to fifty dollars getting the Sopranos thru them, it's worth the effort. And you can click on their live interactive customer on line service and get your answer right away.

I just don't like ordering online. I prefer buying the product myself, with my own to hands and walking tpo the register. I've had bad luck with mail order crap and I don't wanna risk it on DVDs or CDs or the like. I just prefer to buy from the store.

Really? Wow. I don't think I've bought a DVD in the stores for over a year and half now! I do all my shopping online for this sort of stuff - its the only place I can find reasonable prices anymore.

The last thing I got online was some Columbia House but they messed that up. I just love going to the DVD or CD store and just browsing endlessly. Just looking through all the discs.

Well, see, that's your problem then - you were dealing with Columbia House! They suck. Bad prices, bad service.

Yeah, I like to do that too. I just go and browse, and make up a list of the stuff I want, and then find it online for a lot cheaper. But I try to keep my browsing to a minimum - I've got sooooo many DVDs I haven't watched yet, and a huge list of ones I want to buy - I don't need to be browsing for anymore at this point.

I belong to the Columbia House music club, and this is like my third membership with them. Never had a problem, and I get my CDs for about four to six dollars each, depending on what deal I use. I wouldn't buy my music anyother way. Of course, they don't have EVERYTHING, but they do have stuff I can't find at Best Buy.

I've been in their music club several times, but I've always dropped it quick - their prices were always more expensive than those of my local stores, and their shipping charges are outrageous! Not to mention the fact that they don't care any of the music I'm into, or if they do, they only have a CD or two of the group, and its the ones I already have.

You just have to know how to play the game. Of course, as I have over a thousand CDs, there is quite a bit I like in music, so I guess it is easier for me to find good music at Columbia House. I have to order at least six CDs at a time, and that four to six dollars per CD I told you about does include shipping and handling. Yeah, if you order only one or two CDs at a time, it's not worth it, but if you wait for the get one at regular price, get the next two free deals, you save big time.

Brian is also in the DVD club and says he saves alot by doing things like this. Of course, with all the DVDs I have, I haven't found three yet that I don't have already from them that I really want.

My one miff with the DVD set is the cover art. HBO is just using art fro the original promtion of season 2. I was hoping for something more different perhaps. Well, at least I already know what the cover for season 3 will be.
