Why the skeleton's don't like Uncle Tom in "Hittin' the trail to hallelujah land"?

I dunno...maybe because they are evil ghosts who want to send Uncle Tom to the hereafter, or maybe they just don't like his looks. I think cartoon ghosts in general want to harass, bedevil, scare, or kill the good guy, that is, except for Casper.
