Digimon 03 Final Talkback (MAJOR Spoilers)

ok, so it won't air until tomorrow morning...but probably a lot of you have already seen it in Japanese, right? So tell us what you all think...

Well, one thing's for sure...it's the Fox Kids Series Finale. It may very well resurface on ABC or ABC Family by fall, although no final decision was made and ABC's Sat. AM block still holds a big Question Mark for the Fall.

For Pete's Sake. All the other networks are cable-compateable, why isin't ABC?!

I believe the phrase you're looking for is "Momentai".

But, you know...it was kinda like the 01 ending to me...you knew they'd be reuinted (in the Tamers movie), so it wasn't that sad. It was more of a 'moving to the next town' sort of sad, rather than the 'goodbye forever' sort we had in 02...

and I swear, the saddest scene of all Digimon history was Oikawa giving his soul to the Digital World...Tandem Felix, poor man...

So 03, while good, and definately more consistant than the other seasons, really didn't affect me in the same way....strange...

Is there really a chance that we'll be seeing the Tamer's movie here in the States ?

I was so over joyed when I saw that the Digital Portal was still open and that Takato would get to keep his promise. Because when I saw the Chibi Digimon float away I was so freaking mad.

I missed the Season Finale of 02, Hopefully they'll show it on ABC Family. I still kick myself for missing that one, you follow the shwo the whole season and then you wkae up too late the day of the Finale.

The second 02 movie and the first Tamers movie can be found for sale and rental at Japanese-language video outlets. Tamers 2 should be out around August in the same way. Dub-wise.... No clue.

Well how well did the Dub do in theaters/Video Selsl..Because if its old well in either we are sure to either see a theatrical realease or direct to video.

I haven't been following Tamers as closely as I did Adventure, but that was a great ending.

It was a good tear jerker ending hehe. Can't really say much else about it.

Now I await Digimon season 5 as I already know season 4/Frontier blows badly.

I haven't been following this season as closely as the rest of you (season 2 is my fave), but I caught the finale, and I got a serious Monsters, Inc. vibe from the last few moments...not that I mind.

I thought the episode where Shuichon got Lopmon was like Monsters Inc, too.

I've been trying to sit down and watch my first Frontier tape, but I'm in the middle of a move and the fact is that going out to a movie where I can't get yelled at for not packing/watching something in a different language/staying up too late is so much less stressful. But after this weekend, I should be fine.

I thought that was a very good ending. It was kind of bittersweet. I felt so happy for Takato when he found the portal at the end, though. :) This was good in the way that it left the ending open-ended.

Anyways, it's too bad this means the end of the Tamers season. :( It was a good season all-around.

Sypnosis... kinda... sorta...

Don't remember how it started, but... Okay, they're all inside the D-Reaper, and it opens up a portal into the Digital World so it can evolve some more. Janyuu and Yamaki and their people (I really should've watched this season more closely) do stuff, and I guess Yamaki opens Shaggai or Juggernaut up to try and reverse it. It works, and the D-Reaper is devolved to a simple program and sent back into the Digital World. Then, at the end, Janyuu tells the Tamers that for some reason (didn't really catch it), he had to do something to the Tamers' Digimon so that they would also be devolved and sent back to the D-World. They're all sad, and Janyuu is sad, and all the Digimon go back to their baby forms and get sucked into the D-World. At the end, Takato does a narration, telling how everything pretty much went back to normal, although he still wishes he could keep his promise to Guilmon that they would see each other again someday. Then, at the last scene, Takato goes to the old hangout (the cage... place... thing), where he finds that the Digital World portal is still there, and smiles... The End.

Good ending, although that probably didn't help at all.

I thought it was an excellent ending. I teared up a little when I thought we were never gonna see Guilmon again, but I felt so happy for Takato when he found the portal at the end. This is definately one of my favourite Digimon ending, 02 was good, but the whole 20 years later completely ruined it. I'm really gonna miss the characters from this season, and the format, since I heard that Frontier is kind of sentai(Think "Digimon Rangers"). I wouldn't have minded a sequel to Tamers, but I don't think it would have been as good. Season 3 is over! Long live season 3!

The ending was great..... especially the animation....

...but, they sure did kill off D-Reaper in a hurry... use Juggernaut (sp?) and that's it..... I sorta felt that there should of been more action. It just seemed like they ended too quickly .... but eh.... I'm still happy...

...wait, no I'm not, I have to wait all summer until Frontier (whenever and wherever that may be).

Having abandoned all Digimon message boards, I don't know very much about 04. But it sounds good.

Of course, my personal least favorite season was 02. 01 and 03 were great. Going by that pattern, 04 might not be that good... or it might be awesome.

Hmm.

Why can't good shows come out in the summer? I'm too lazy to go out and see movies.

No, Impmon was pulled back, too... but not before Ai and Mako got their own purple D-Arc.

HYPNOS was a big help in defeating the D-Reaper...but I think the real key to overcoming it was Jerri herself pulling it together and realizing she had no cause for self-pity. She stood up to the blob that had been feeding on her and flatly told it "no more".
It did seem she recuperated fast, though--a bit status quo-ey for me. I would think it'd be nice to see her come to Takato months later and admit she still has nightmares sometimes about being in that monstrosity, then ask him to hold her and make the pain go away. And maybe he would've let her wear the goggles, just once.

I can only wonder how they'll top season three. Rocky and I once discussed the possibility of humans and 'Mons interbreeding...now with the biomerging angle, we may be a step closer to that.... :o
