Just a quick note to say that I fixed some minor errors with your post before I copied it to the What Aired Today? board. The Barney Bear cartoon was "Barney Bear's Polar Pest" (not "Polar Bears"). I also fixed the spelling of "Sindbad" (you had "Sindbag"). Hope you don't mind.

Thanks a lot for the fix. My brother gave me the wrong title for the Barney Bear cartoon.

Paying the Piper is one of the Pied Piper spoofs, but you probably knew that from the title.
Cats A-Weigh features Sylvester and his son on a boat.
The Hypo-Chondri-Cat is a little too extreme with the graphics.
I love the abstract dream sequence in Hypochondri-Cat, I think it's the best Jones ever did (he seemed to do the most, two or so, three if you count Hell Bent For Election). Also, I noticed a brown haze in the upper right hand corner of the cartoon that was very noticeable in the darker scenes. This has some great graphics IMO.
Havn't seen Cat Awiegh for a while, so I'll catch it at midnight. It's one of the better Hippety Hoppers (they aren't very repetive, despite their reputation).

That brown haze is a sign of safety film decomposition. The film gets discolored (yellow-brown) and becomes brittle.

I'm surprised that "Gallopin' Girls" was uncut. There's a "dark horse" gag that AwOL-TW may think as un-PC.

Something I've always wondered: Wouldn't Porky saying his sister smokes hams in "Paying the Piper" technically constitute cannibalism?
The funniest bits in "Cat's A-Weigh" come with Sylvester the logician's skillfully b.s.-ing Junior. "Well, you're a little cat, so you catch the little mice." Then a complete one-eighty: "There's only one great big mouse, so you can try to catch him...while I do al lthe work of rounding up al lthe little mice." It gets him in the end, though.
"Big Bad Sindbad" is pretty good for a cheater cartoon; although I'm sure the opening and closing pieces were redrawnc animation.
Notice that a lot of the mares in "Gallopin' Gals" are voiced after female celebs--I though I heard a Mae West in there somewhere. How the "dark horse" gag (complete with gold tooth!) got past the censors is beyond me. I think someone slipped them another 100 proof bribe, if you catch my drift. ;)
The ending of "The Hypochondri-Cat" is my favorite part...but I wonder what Claude will do when that balloon gives out?
