I received an email a couple days back stating that 2002 may be the last year for Batman: Gotham Adventures. Can this be true? While it does suck, it would make sense. DC is cancelling Superman Adventures becuase of low sales and becuae of the new Justice League Adventures cartoon. Honestly, I'm not too suprised about this. It's almost expected actually. I just hope it reaches issue #50, which would actually make a nice final issue.

Where'd you get that from? I love GA... it's the only thing that keeps the cartoon going... That's bad news... Is there any way to keep it going?

World... crashing down... fading... to... black....

It does indeed suck, cause this is the book that got me into comics in the first place. I'd hate to think that it could happen, but I guess all good things must come to an end, unfortunately. I wish there was a way to stop this from happening, but i don't think I can buy 1000+ issues of GA a month, so I'll enjoy it while it lasts...

I'll do my best to get it confirmed. I haven't posted it on the newspage yet, and not sure if I will, until I get more than just an email. It is a shame that the series may end. It's been one of the best books I've ever read, and it'd be a shame to have it shelved. First Batman Beyond, then Superman Adventures, and possibly now Gotham Adventiures. It seems like it was all planned out.

While I'm slightly saddened by this, I am not at all surprised. Lately, GA has been really crappy. I will continue getting it until the end in hopes of it getting better. I hope the JL comic will be better.

This is the comic book that got me back into reading comics again!

I don't think I will drop the titles now. Hang out to the bitter end, I say.

I'm not too concerned either way it goes. I've pretty much been buying it out of habit lately.

And besides, wasn't it a few months ago people were saying it was gonna be cancelled?

Sad news. Mike Parobeck and his work on GA's fore-father Batman Adventures got me back into comics years ago ,and Batman Adventures and it's various following incarnations has been the ONLY book I have purchased regularly since. My main concern hre is the future of Tim Levins - I would hate to see such a talented artist go to waste if his 'animated' style isn't suitable elsewhere. Does anybody know if he's lined up for 'Justice league'..?

Not too sure. The Justice League comic will be a rotating creative teams. John Delany is onboard, as well as Craig Rousseau right now, but no other teams have been confirmed. I'm sure Aluir Almancio and Min S. Ku will pop in there somewheres. No writer has been named yet, either.
