I was trying to come up with the best villains of all time in movies...and all I could come with was

Darth Vader
Joker
Hal
Hannibal
"Reverend'' Harry Powell-(Night of the Hunter)

I don't any other villains who are in the same league with the above.

Hmm,

Rutger Hugher's Roy Batty in Blade Runner. Beautifully played.

Max Von Sydow's Ming in Flash Gordon.

Ricardo Montalban's Khan in Star Trek II.

Of course... Arnie in Terminator.

Kevin Spacey in Seven.

I like Christopher Lloyd in Star Trek III too - he has lots of amusing lines!

Definitely Spacey in Seven even though he was only in it for a short time at the end.

Al Pacinos'?(been awhile since i have seen it) Big Boy in Dick Tracy was great.

Agent Smith in The Matrix was also good.

The Borg Queen (Alice Krige, not the lady from "Voyager")

Agent Smith (The Matrix)
Jack (Nicholson) Torrance (The Shining)
James Earl Jones character in Conan

Lol - Gl2k2 - you say we haven't watched enough movies and then a third of your list are characters we've already mentioned! Perhaps you should join us as 'people who have not seen enough movies'! :D

Gene is a good choice. May I add his character in Crimson Tide made that film.
Mr Blonde was good too.

A couple more.

Clarence Boddicker in Robocop.
Peter Cushing in Star Wars
Dr Claw in Inspector Gadget (he made me laugh - wasn't a very impressive within the context of the story - but he is a fav!)
Can we include Skeletor in 'The Secret Of The Sword' - it did get a cinema release! :D
Brad Pitt in Fight Club.

Yes I do need to see more films! ;)

I would have to go with either Darth Vader or The Headless Horseman from Sleepy Hollow.

Vader was just so cool because he badass and he knew it.

When it Walken as the Hessian (Horseman while he had his head), it was cool because he actually loved to kill. Some men become warriors to defend, others to steal, the Hessian just wanted to kill. Parks as the Headless Horseman was cool because he just killed all those people because it was his job.

I know there's one villian I'm leaving out, but I just can't remember. I might be back later if I can think of who it was.

Palpatine. I don't think the other Sith come close.

Vicious from Pokemon 4.... and maybe the girl Rocket duo from Pokemon 5- sure look cute!

I just gotta say, I don't take myself too serious with this board. I'm sardonic and sarcastic both in nature. Unless I'm using exclaimation points, I'm usually just playing around.

Joker (Mark Hamill RULES!)
Jack Nicholson..in The Shinning and joker in Batman
Darth Vader
The guy who played the Green Goblin in Spiderman...that guy was awesome..
Arnold in T2 (of course..)
Hannibal (o-O chilling...Anthony Hopkins is really amazing...He's my mom's favorite actor..I can definitely see why)

There's gotta be more, but those are just off the top of my head..

Don't worry, I didn't think you were being serious. Just having fun..!

A few more to add - what about some classical villains!

Anthony Perkins on Psycho
Robert Walker as Bruno Antony in Strangers On A Train
James Mason in North By Northwest
John Dall as Brendon Shaw in Rope.
Margaret Hamilton as the Wicked Witch Of The West in Wizard Of Oz.

Oh! and not a classic but great fun!

Richard O'Brien in Dark City and David Bowie in Labyrinth!

*Of course, Magneto in X-Men, although the comic books and the animated series have handled him somewhat better.
*Annie Wilkes in Misery--psychotic, obsessed angel of mercy, and to some degree based on real-life King fans who get a little too intense.
*John Wilkes Booth. Historically and cinematically, a great villain. Ironically his greatest acting may have been done after his death. ;)
*Freddy Krueger. As a big believer in dreams, I find the idea of a nightmare killer and the whole "sins of the fathers" mythos very intriguing.
