This has been posted in a few places on the net and I just think it's incredibly cool. Watch what happens when these guys experiment with water balloons in zero gravity. I'd love to be doing stuff like this for a living!

Any comment on these incredibly cool videos? I had no idea that you could simulate a zero gravity environment like that on a jet without going into space!

That's interesting and very entertaining.... thanks Joe Tully!!!

Although essentially pointless, that's very entertaining. Thanks for digging it up, Joe.

Same thing as riding on a roller coaster with a really huge drop. Had a cup of water do that once before only to have most of it land back in my cup and on the person behind me. :D

you had a cup of water on a roller coaster?

was it the superman coaster at six flags in LA? you get about 4 seconds of zero-g there.

Heh. I guess that makes some sense, but I'd almost expect them to be flung to the ceiling--kind of like what happens to a passenger when an elevator goes down really fast in one of the Looney Tunes. :) They probably calculate it out carefully to prevent that kind of thing from happening.

That was awsome.

Thank you.

I can't remember the name of the roller coaster but it was the only one in the park mostly made of wood. It had about a two second straight drop. Of course they probably don't let anyone on today with drinks. :( You could probably get away with something like a quarter.

I was on Superman at Six Flags. My sister had a little doll she was holding while on the ride. I saw it briefly suspend at the top. It was awesome.

Zero-G is very cool.

Later.

Wow.....And that is all I can say......I have to study further into this over the summer. :D

Yes, you do! Post your results with the group!

Or... not...

All this talk of zero gravity and rollercoasters make me wonder.... What happens when you throw up in zero gravity?

(Someone else with a Sonic aniGIF? Bwaha!)

Good question. I'm sure the answer is found on a rerun of the disturbing Bill Nye the Science Guy PBS show, but I do not dare to dig it up. *shudder*
