...and Leon Schlesinger, too, though admittedly, he was a one-shot character in "You Ought To Be In Pictures." :)

One-shots don't really count as characters.
Looks like Yosemite Sam is pulling away with the vote...:(

I voted for "other"... specifically Rocky and Mugsy. I find the three Bugs cartoons they starred in to be three of Bugs' funniest ("Bugs and Thugs", "Bugsy and Mugsy", "The Unmentionables"). The cartoons they starred in without Bugs ("Golden Yeggs" and "Catty Cornered") are also classics (Okay, so in those two, it was Nick and not Mugsy). A shame Freleng didn't choose to use them more often.

Yosemite Sam, simply because of his diverse appearances....he's the cartoon equivalent of John Wayne, the cowboy actor put in roles that don't call for one and still pulls it off beautifully. However, Sam's best cartoons BY FAR were the western ones. Stuff like "Bugs Bunny Rides again", "Wild and Woolly Hare", "14 carrot Rabbit", "Horse Hare", etc., is pure laughs. I don't really care much about the first one ("Hare-Trigger") though, one way or another. It bores me.

I also voted for Sam, he was so diverse, a cartoon every-villain. I really like the western cartoons, even hare-Trigger, and I like the pirate cartoons, they are so wonderful! Actually, there isn't really a single Freleng directed Sam cartoon I don't like.

My father is a real Yosemite Sam fan.
This is an actual sentence from him:

So, I voted for Elmer Fudd, his not-counted vote would have gone for the favorite among you guys.
I had to mention this since Yosemite Sam got the most votes!

I voted for Yosemite Sam. His anger-filled reactions are very funny, and it remains amusing after multiple viewings. Egghead was close though. But he is a little too inconsistent, what with the various incarnations, voices and designs.
For other voters...Witch Hazel might count under this category...if witches are humans. I guess she's close enough anyways.

Sam's ten times funnier, but Elmer is more human, so I voted for Fudd.
VOTE FUDD IN '01!

I wouldn't have even thought about voting for the old character Egghead. Remember that Elmer Fudd was Bugs Bunny's first opponent, and deserves higher marks. Remember that he made the cartoons funny, too.
