Did Joker die at the end of "World's Finest", or did he figure out how to escape that big ship while his marble bombs went off. I just get the feeling that when he started laughing at that point, I knew he had a backup plan to avoid death. I'm just curious because in the end of "The Laughing Fish", it looks like he fell in the ocean. Gordon asks Batman if he's dead, and he tells him that he doubts it. We also know he bites the big one in "Return Of Thr Joker", and he's coming back in "Injustice For All". (which obviously takes place before "ROTJ")

My thought on it is that unless I see a body, he's not dead. And even if I do see a body, I'm still a little skeptical. Unless we're talking about Bruce's parents or Jason Todd, I wouldn't put it past anyone to have a "miraculous resurrection".

Well yes and no. Many times the Joker looks like he dies, but in the end he always survives somehow. I believe it was Joker who once said "Why can't he ever stay dead?!" He was talking about Bats, but it applies to him as well.
Joker is Batman's biggest enemy and he always finds a way to come back to haunt the Dark Knight.

I don't think he dies. He always seems to escape death.

Howdy,
Off the top of my head, the Joker has "died" at the end of "Mad Love," "The Laughing Fish," "World's Finest," and "Mask of the Phantasm." Of them, I think only MotP doesn't really leave an "out" for the Joker to escape. I think it's really just a reference to practice in the comics. I'm pretty sure Aresia in Justice League will be back again, too.
I can envision a kind of funny take-off on "Almost Got 'Im" where Batman, Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl spout their alternate theories about Mr. J's remarkable durability ("Oh, no, not the ROBOT theory again!")

Well, actually, there was a "sequel" in the comics that showed how he survived the end of MotP. So even there it happened.

Joker manages to survive anything. He's got more lives than Catwoman :p

Well, yeah, I know they gave the Joker an out for MotP in the comics, but I kind of block it out in my head because the excuse they give was really really lame (IMO), and
doesn't explain why Andrea doesn't go out a-Joker-huntin' afterwards
I probably should have been clearer in my original post, though.

Thanks for the likn. Incase your wondering what I'm talking about, here's A good explination from the preceding thread.
"he's simply the joker. have you noticed that in almost every "death" scene he undertakes, he laughs uncontrollably... I think that wuz a little injoke for "Return of the Joker." Everytime, the Joker was faced with "death," (like in World's Finest w/ the exploding Lexwing, and in Mask of the Phantasm when he and Andrea disappeared into the smoke) he always laughed and laughed, and he came back in later episodes... but with RotJ, he wuzn't laughing... he said, "that's not funny...that's not..." then dead. the slogan for the movie wuzn't kidding when it said, "It's No Laughing Matter."

There's actually a line uttered by an ersatz Joker in Joker's Millions that references World's Finest. Fake Joker says hello to Bruce, Bruce reminds him that the last time Bruce saw (the real) Joker, he pushed him off a building. Which is exactly what Joker did in World's Finest.
So there ya go.

He survives everything. One I was surprised to see him survive was from holiday knights. He gets smashed by a giant, heavy bell, and lives, and he still is conscious and speaking. I think he is a meta-human.

ROTJ did show you how evil the Joker was.
Anyway how do you think the Joker survived in Be A Clown

How did the Joker get away in MotP?

I think he is a meta-human. All he said was "ouch". I think I'd probably be screaming bloody murder if my arm got smashed by a giant bell....
Originally posted by MILatino How did the Joker get away in MotP?[/B] They both fell into a sewer and Andrea tried to get the Joker to beg for mercy. When all he did was laugh like a maniac she realized that the man who had originally killed her father was dead (he wasn't that man anymore)...then Joker fell into the water and um disappeared...
I dunno; just use your imagination..he survivied somehow!
