Okay, Blade and its sequel was the exception. It existed on a level off its own. And as the rumour goes for part 3 the vampires will be in charge and the humans will be a sub-race, but then again that was when Del Toro was a part of it.

Anyway, my suggestion is to link the Marvel films together. Why, because this is what Marvel is pretty much about. This is one of the things that separated them from DC. Spidey in particular would mention X-Men, Hulk, or others in his mental dialogue or out loud. And he did so in "Spider-Man" mentioning the Thing. X-Men didn't delve into this too much, but comic fans got the in-joke that Wolverine said about yellow spandex. I'm hoping Daredevil and the Incredible Hulk follows suit. I'm even hoping Michael Clarke Duncan reprises Kingpin in either Punisher or a Spidey sequel.

I think this is possible in films, ever since I saw Michael Keaton reprise his character from "Jackie Brown" in "Outta Sight", which Elmore Leonard does in the books anyway, I felt this could be done in more films. Stephen King films as well, should do it, since he crosses characters too. Of course Tarantino and Smith.

Does anyone else think this might be a good idea or should they leave them all

Can't see them doing it - as film makers don't like to have their projects linked to others and film studios even more so - especially as it's not the same studio involved in each production.

So that brings us to the writers and crew, who don't give a fig what the studios want... I like the idea myself and imagine they would like to too, so if Marvel continues is good cinema trend, I wouldn't be surprised if there are a couple of knudge-knudge references that pop up in the film - especially on props like papers, posters etc.

Geek continutity is the almost the exclusive province of the prop master! :D
