It's been a while since we've done a thread like this, and you know with the new board I thought we might want to again.

Best Series: Cowboy BeBop
Worst Series: Pokemon
Best Movie: Princess Mononoke
Worst Movie: Patlabor 2
Best Series: Cowboy Bebop
Worst Series: Pokemon
Best Movie: I haven't seen many, but I'd say the YuYu Hakusho movie. I'm taking an educated guess and saying I will like Cowboy Bebop: Knocking on Heaven's door the best when it comes out. :D
Worst Movie: That Sailor Moon movie.

Of what I've seen:
Best series: tie between Cowboy Bebop and Ranma 1/2 (for completely different reasons; against each other the two aren't even comparable!)
Worst series: Hamtaro (for reasons which I won't try to analyze, it makes me think of the Teletubbies everytime I see it.)
I haven't seen any movies yet, so no opinions from me.

WORST MOVIE?
I personally thought Patlabor 2 was a brilliant "what if?" political thriller by Oshii. Yeah, it's talky, like all Mamoru Oshii films are...but also strangely spooky, especially if you consider the events of September 11th. I watched this film a few weeks after the event...and it's amazing how well it predicted what the reactions of the media, military and citizens would be after a "terrorist" attack. A lot of people thought Patlabor 2 was far-fetched before 09/11...but it turns out it nailed much of the political atmosphere that would be associated with such an event. Much more thought-provoking and intelligent than The Siege.
And if you think Pokemon's the worst series ever...you guys haven't REALLY seen anime. :p
For the record, I think Yu-Gi-Oh is the single worst piece of anime tripe on TV. At least Pokemon tries to work an adventure around each episode.
