What sort of logo did Associated Artists Productions (a.a.p.) put on the hundreds of live actions shorts and films they got from Warner Brothers in the late 50s? I heard it was animated, and had a kind of "atomic" look to it (a.a.p.'s logo usually had one of those atom things behind it). Thanks in advance.

I believe the A.A.P. used the same logo for all of their movies, live-action shorts, and cartoons. Of course, they varied, depending on what kind of movie it was.

The AAP openings used on Warner Bros. feature films had a musical opening using simple beat done on drum cymbals combined with a rotating eliptical star (on a vertical elipse) as the letters A--A---P appeared, followed by the full Associated Artists Productions.

WPIX in New York owned the AAP's Warner library when I was growing up, and the AAP logo appeared before the films very rarely. WPIX would usually start the film where it was supposed to start, with the WB logo (as opposed to WNEW, which owned the Paramount pre-48 library and always showed the MCA logo at the start of those films).
