Who think thats CN will put these movies under the TV-y7 knife? Even though the content in these movies are pretty tame there are a few things that qualify for CN's knife. Shrek, Iron Giant and Prince of Egypt will be the biggest victims if CN goes the TVY7 path. It would be a real shame too, maybe in a dream world CN could just slap the PG rating on it and leave the movies alone even if it airs before 10PM.

No, I heard that at least Iron Giant will be unedited with a PG rating. The rest are anyone's guess, though. Antz and Shrek have some language and gross humor, and Prince of Egypt has some very dark parts. Haven't seen Spirit.
Doesn't censorship suck?

Oh yes it most certainly does.
These movies all range from G-PG, right? So whats the problem? Why would any of them REALLY need any editing?
Shrek has some language...

They'll all likely get TV-PG.
Iron Giant has TV-PG-L-V, for obvious reasons. Shrek will probably get TV-PG-L, and Ants will probably get TV-PG-L.

I don't think CN will alter these films at all. It's cable so they aren't as harsh on censors as network television. And honestly, there's nothing bad in 'The Iron Giant' anywho. There's a bit of violence near the end and a couple 'hell's and 'damn's littered throughout. The movie will likely be just TV-PG.

I agree, although they might edit out the "b-word" and the "tight*****" line in ants. The "a-word" might be overlooked in shrek, because it is used in a double entandra manner. Iron Giant, like jim said, will probaly remain untouched.
