So far, both Batman and the Flash seem to be acting a little out of character. However, that, the fact that GL is making constructs, and J'onn is referred to as the "Martian Manhunter" can all probably be attributed to the writer not being able to see enough JL shows or get the scripts in time to write a story consistent with the show, so it can probably be excused. I'm usually not very critical, but the "moon monster" idea seems a kinda lame...however I'll withold judgement until I actually read the thing; it could end up to be a gripping plot.

Nice jobs as usual, both Min and Rob!
For those of you that don't know - the inker of this issue, Rob Leigh, was the instructor of the very first class on the very first day of the very first year of Min S. Ku's (the penciller of this issue) days at the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art!
I beleive the class was 'Methods and Materials'.
Instructor and pupil together once again!
Great job, Guys!

I gotta say I'm impressed by the art I can see here. It seems like Min opted for closer shots to the characters and they definitely set off the quality of the storytelling. Not to mention Batman is handled wonderfully (very on-model, yet stylish), especially on page 2 panel 3 and page 3 panel 2.

Wow... Toonzone got a copy of this issue before I received my complimentary copies!
Disneyboy...actually you have DC to thank for the sneak peak (and of course Perry White for scanning and posting the 4 pages + the cover!). It's great to see Justice League Adventures as one of DC's preview books for the week of June 5th. I think the last time they used JL Adv as a preview book was issue #3.

DC had such a head start with this title that by the time the show aired last November, they had like 12 issues completed and in the drawer (not to mention a lot more stories already bought from different writers). All the comic book creators had to go on was the JL series bible, and unfortunately it didn't specically say that GL would not use his ring to create objects. Nor did they mention that WW had a magic lasso of truth. These things were a given in the comic book universe, so I think a lot of us just took it for granted that these things existed in the animated world as well. And to explain J'onn being referred to as Martian Manhunter, the JL series bible actually lists J'onn as "Martian Manhunter."

I don't think Barnes and Nobles carry individual comic books. Waldenbooks might. The best bet is to call 1-888-COMIC BOOK (1-888-266-4226). They'll tell you the closest comic book store according to your zip code. Or just click on the comic book locator logo below the 4 pages of preview in the first post.

Yup...it was for "methods and materials"... we didn't learn jack from that class, eh Cornboy? ....... Just kidding Rob! You know, I never got an 'A' from Mr. Leigh... that's why I had to get back at him by giving him the cover with the 100 Amazons to ink (JL Adv #4)!! Rob also looks incredibly like Aquaman....complete with the long, blonde hair and the beard! All he needs is that hook for his hand...
Well...looking forward to what everyone has to say about #8 when it comes out this wednesday!

Ya beat me to the link, Min! I read that revie won Monday and I'm just really looking forward to this issue. The preview art looks so damn sweet! Plus, you can't go wrong with Mike J. Barr. Even if the characterization is off in this issue, I am still looking forward to it. And it is understandable the characters might be off, this was probably written before Mike had a chance to see the episode.

I just got done reading this issue, so I figured I'd post my thoughts. Big spoilers ahead, so read at your own risk.
Overall, not bad. Not great, but not bad. I liked it better than the last issue at least! ;)
I didn't think the characterizations were off that much in this issue at all. In fact, some of them were much more on target than what we got in the last issue, IMO. For example, Flash offers to check over Martian Manhunter's calculations - which fits in nicely with the info we got from the show that showed us Flash was originally a scientist. And I liked Batman's and MM's wishes for the creature at the end of the issue - again, fitting in nicely with what we know of their own pasts. Seeing MM's vulnerability/dislike of fire was neat, since we've not gotten any official sort of confirmation of that in the cartoon series.
I also liked
the Weather Wizard's comment about laying "out a lot of cash for some info on [MM]" - a nice, concise way to show how the Wiz would know of MM's weakness.
Someone mentioned the "moon monster" seemed kinda lame, and I'd have to agree. It's not as bad as it could be, but it just sort of seems to come out of left field. I guess my only real complaint with the issue is that it feels a little bit rushed, which is understandable, considering how few pages Barr has to fit the story in. I would have liked to have seen this expanded out a bit, maybe into a two-parter to give it the justice it deserves.

My favorite Weather Wizard line was when he told Wonder Woman he could give her a good deal on a set of monogrammed towels. :)

This issue was a big improvement over the last!! While not great, this was an interesting story that I thought was done very well. Like some have already said, I think it would have done better as a 2 parter, but it was still good. The alien did seem kinda lame, but for some reason made good sense to me. The "new moon" was a bit much, but it wasn't as bad as the fax machime fiasco that was last issue. Also, the art in this one was great! Kudos to mr. Ku. JL Adventures still needs to get better for me to continue beyond issue 12, but this one put it in the right track! :)

Well I wouldn't this this issue was wonderful, but it was a big improvement. The very premise seemed.......a litt quirky but didn't bother me all that much. The JL building a new moon was a little absurd though. Some mored detailed thoughts:
Batman's saying it was a good thing that the weather Wizard hadn't read Mark Twain was just....cheesy. I'm sorry but that's something I can just hear Adam West saying.
Oh and the whole League getting sucked into space at the end? No. I don't care if they were holding their breath they would have all be killed instantly accept J'onn if he went immaterial.
Weather Wizard defeating the entire League? Sorry didn't work for me. Maybe if he had a Injustice Type organazation with him. Which brings me too:
This would have been tons better as a two or three parter. First part could have gone into detail about the whole crisis and maybe introduced the moon creature in a more plausible way or something. The second part could have been about the Weather Wizard taking out the league with some help and third part could have been a more detailed and better layed out description of him getting taken down.
The characterzations were the saving grace of this issue writing wise. Flash and J'onn came across much more "relaxed" and less "stiff" than last issue. And I loved J'onn and Flash's little exchange on page 8. Batman seemed a little off as described above but I can forgive.
To me Min. S. Ku's art really saved a somewhat mediocre issue. He has improved a lot sicne #1 and his characters seem much more relaxed and fluid. I loved the facial expression of J'onn on page eight.
Three stars! Which isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination.
