Through the beginning of August it is all the reruns that we rerun already...when the heck are new ones coming to finish out the season? :yakko: :wakko: :dot:

It looks like CN is holding back the new episodes for August or so. Remember CN had also told us that the new Masters of the Universe toon would premeire over the summer and so far it hasn't been listed on their most recent schedule. Also JL:TAS didn't premeire until November - meaning that CN could use the remaining 9 episodes and start airing them in late August - filling the gap between the summer and season 2 episodes by airing "new" episodes from season 1.
I really don't care for the idea as I would rather get to see all of season 1 but I can understand why they are doing it - statistically ratings increase in the fall over the summer - usually because of a return to a set schedule and in much of the US - colder temperatures.

Makes sense....just so frustrating though!

I agree - it is very frustrating but the more money they are able to make the greater potential there is for us to see even more new episodes of JL:TAS in later years.

I hope I don't sound harsh, and I love the show too, but find a hobby or girlfriend or something to keep you occupied till then. Its just a cartoon, and although its pretty fun its not a big deal to me in the sense that i'm dying for new episodes.

Ragingdrummerboy-
I actually have a lot of hobbies to keep my attention until new shows. From writing, to my own business, to recently beginning to paint the house.
If this were a show such as Friends, which I don't watch, that had this many reruns, people would be picketting the NBC studios in hordes.
There aren't that many shows that I watch on television anymore, JL is one of a handfull that I look forward to. That is why I have been taping the show and will continue to do so until DVD's arrive.
And no, we weren't being harsh and I hope that you aren't going to take my post that way. Again, there are others things to do and I have had the same loving partner for four and half years now....believe me, I don't sit glued to a chair on the weekends waiting for the show. It was a simple question as to why so many reruns and that was all. I am not the only one that finds the constant reruns a pain in the butt.

...they get held back ANOTHER TWO WEEKS!!! And Mr. Kellner sits in his office laughing evily!
Kellner: "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
:p
Of course none of that is true, well maybe the part about Kellner is. :D
At anyrate, it's been CN's standard procedure to air some new episodes, wait a bit, air some more new episodes, wait a bit, air some more new episodes. They've been doing it for years, so I don't really get why people (and this is in no way meant to be directed at you Chuck L) are complaining about it now.

All right, I'll fess up. I am Kellner's Raging Bile Duct.
"Ohhhhhh that Kellner!" :D
Metamorphosis just finished production and they are still working on The Savage Time to complete season 1. Knight in Shadows, Metamorphosis, and Injustice 4 All have yet to play... and probably won't show up until the fall, but I could be mistaken.Ah, so they're not done with all of season 1 yet. Didn't know that.
Season 2 is well into the early stages of production (several scripts & a couple of storyboards are done). No spoilers are coming from me, but I will say that what I've seen of Season Two is @#$%* incredible! Or alternately you could tell me, but then you'd have to kill me. :p That or you'll tell us right around the same time you reveal who you really are. ;)
Seriously, out of the stuff you've seen so far, would you rank it on par with episodes like "The Brave and the Bold", and "Legends", or more on par with "Secret Origins" or just there with "War World". I'm not asking for spoilers, just a gage of the early season 2 stuff. :)

Honestly, it is because of the JL that I am watching CN. Before, the only other show of theirs that I watched has been Cow and Chicken (oh how I miss that).

I'm hoping I'll be able to rank season 2 very well ABOVE season 1 episodes. It'd be nice to see some actual human dialogue between people, at least on the level that Lex and Supes had in S:TAS..

Wizard said Paul Dini is involved with season 2, so they should be better. Of course season 1 wasn't bad, I just like Futurama more.

Not only is Dini hoping to be involved but Jeph Loeb has planned on writing a couple of episodes and Dwayne McDuffy is now working out of the WB Animation studio on JL:TAS as story editor, he's also written two scripts so far.

A fellow poster, DarkLantern, mentioned a nugget of information about Twilight of the Gods, a Darkseid story being planned for Season Two. To read the quote, click here (http://www.toonzone.net/shows/justiceleague/darkseid/darkseid.htm).

Now that I think about it, I'll most likely wind up watching JL on Sundays at 7, because Futurama never survives during the fall. Even if a Fox football game ends at 7, they pre-empt it with post-game coverage.
Anyway, what do I think is going on with the new episodes? If they are done with post-production, CN could revise the schedule and add them in the summer just like they did with Grim & Evil. Now G&E may have nothing to do with JL, but it was another CN show that they were going to air in the fall until they decided to show it in July and August.

Bruce Timm stated that he threw in "an oblique reference to [Batman Beyond’s] The Call" in this episode. Most likely a line in the script or a background image. I do not know what the reference actually is. Note that I said this reference "will most likely" involve Barda -- which means this is an educated guess on my part based on what I know.
And if I tell you what I know, I'll have to kill you, and then two people will have to kill me. And two others will kill them.
And so on.
And so on.
And so on.

 Blasphemy.
In the meantime, keep watching tapes of all the other shows.
Do you realize that the WB Animation Dept has produced over
250 shows based on DC comic book properties if you combined all B:TAS, S:TAS, BB, B: TGA, SS, and the Zeta Project-(ok that one borders on insanity, but one episode did guest star BB)?
Of course, this applies to those do not have better to do than to watch cartoons all day.
I wish I could.

hahaha, sorry guys! I did not intend to imply that dying for new episodes meant a lack of a social life, just said that JL wasn't extremly important to me...but yeah, I really do enjoy the shows that the creators have put out in the past, and I am anxious to see some new material, although I haven't enjoyed JL as much as BTAS, STAS, and BB.
Reading back on this topic reminds me, the other day I was at a friend's birthday party and I was planning on leaving early. When asked why I was leaving so soon, I (truthfully) answered "to watch batman beyond" in my deep Bruce Wayne imitation voice. When they offered to watch the show with me I answered "I watch Batman alone" in the same deep tone. As I walked off one of my friends started humming the Batman tune. If you were there, it would have been hilarious but the point is that what I said was kind of hypocritical, so sorry.

no one will kill you if you give me a brief synopsis of THE CALL... i hope. The non-spoiler version --
Superman invites Batman (Terry) to join the Justice League Unlimited because he suspects a there's a traitor in the League. The other members get upset because they weren't consulted about increasing the membership. Terry, with some help from Bruce, discovers who the traitor is. A big fight ensues. And an alien invasion is thwarted.
Spoiler version --
Superman is evil, kinda. Starrio (with a really cool flashback to The Main Man) ends up in Superman's zoo at the Fortress of Solitude after Superman rescued all the animals from the Preserver. After a bunch of years he takes over Superman's body and begins to plan taking over the world through his parasitic offspring. Batman, and the JLU, stop the invasion in the Fortress and return Starrio and his offspring to their homeworld. In the end of part two Terry is offered a full time position as a member of the JLU, and he turns it down.

I think we may get to see new episodes in August. After all, CN is boasting a lot of premieres (like He-Man for instance) so they may want to keep up the momentum. Keep your fingers crossed everyone! :)
