I'm worried now. Real worried. The Joker (even smiling) looks like terrible. And Batgirl looks too old in the costume. I mean, WAY too old. The plus is that you get to see a shot of Batman (With the flames, I think it's him), but he looks like he's wearing the Clooney suit. Even New Gotham looks...a little like Metropolis. It has none of the look that Gotham City is supposed to have. The clocktower looks like a giant watch. Did I mention I can't stand the picture of Alfred?

I want to like this show, I do. But it looks cheap. Especially The Joker.

I think I'll just wait until the show comes on so I can judge the finished product and only the finished product. Oh, and I hope they keep the references to Metropolis and Superman to a minimum, because with Smallville on Tuesdays, it's only going to complicate things.

Wow. That just looks....bad.

I just really don't like what they're doing to the Batman universe in this show, and I gotta say, I don't like the look of the Joker at all.

The Joker looks like some guy at a company haloween party...ick!

Batgirl rocks..especially considering they used what looks like a Batman-film costume with new colors. Sadly, this show seems to be trying to walk the tight rope between Batman Beyond and the current continuity, and by mixing in pre-crisis characters (Huntress is Selina's daughter?!!?) I can see that this could fall flat on it's face.

After everything WB has put Batman through (Batman and Robin....no more B:TAS....those teasing OnStar commercials....the unending Catwoman/Year One script fiascos...) I'd like to see them do one project right!

This show has potential...but if you intend it to be the first new Batman project in five+ years....make it good...or the public will forever regard Batman as a joke!

Like Terminatah said - I will judge this show after I actually see it. I personally like the idea of New Gotham and think that seeing a future Gotham under the influence of the Joker could be an interesting twist. Also the Batgirl suit looks pretty good but the Joker just doesn't seem to be fitting for the role - altho this could all change after actually seeing the show.

I remember people being really iffy when Smallville was getting ready to premeire and I think the creative team has shown they know how to make characters evolve and create an interesting show. Remember Luthor didn't run a corporation in Smallville and wasn't Clarks friend, Chloe didn't exist and the entire show wouldn't fit with DC continuity. Once again they are pulling elements out of each lore and creating a new world to work in. I have high hopes that the show will live up to the amount of potential I believe it to have.

who the heck did they get to play the joker, rob schneider??...i can't believe they're using mark hammil's voice to compliment that actor..not how i pictured a live btas version joker at all...

i guess they're going with the bulky/movie style body armor since it looks alot cooler in live action..if they used the comics/animated tights on a lower budget show we might be bordering on the adam west corny looking costume..(even if it is for a split, fiery blurry second ;) )
