Number 30
Although I'd argue that a program with a host(s) and no plot line (Survivor) would constitue a show.

I've got some popular taste.
My favorite show (the Simpsons) was number 30.
Other shows I love were ranked 93, 104, 115, and 124.

Are there any lists for syndication, or cable shows? It looks like they only cover network shows. Maybe they belive that not everyone gets cable.

...which is true...
I always thought that Neilson ratings didn't cover anything but network shows.

Nielsen does sperate lists for cable, syndication, etc. Friends and Seinfeld are always at the top of the syndication list. As for cable, it will probably be some type of WWF or the Osbournes. The regular Nielsen end of the season report is only for shows on broadcast networks. They may do an end of the year cable report or something, I am not sure. You can check the weekly cable and syndication ratings every week at Zap2it.com.
As for the shows I watch:
Friends (1)
ER (3)
Raymond (6)
Will & Grace (9)
Inside Schwartz (15) [NBC of course cancelled this :( ]
Frasier (16)
Just Shoot Me (20)
King of Queens (21)
Yes Dear (21)
Baby Bob (26)
Scrubs (38)
Famil Law (44) [cancelled by CBS]
Watching Ellie (55)
That 80s Show (104)
Reba (129)
Sabrina (140)
I mostly just watch NBC and CBS.

E.R. got 3rd and Law & Order got 7th. I'm happy. But I'm not happy that The X-Files and 24 were in the 70s & 80s!

How FOX can cancel "Titus" and "Greg the Bunny" and can hold "Andy Richter Controls the Universe" for midseason, but renew "Grounded for Line" is beyond me. All three of those shows recieved better ratings than the show they kept! Does this make any sense?

What in the world...
"Friends" appears in the top ten 2 TIMES!!!
One for their main timeslot and the other for their 8:30 timeslot. That is not fair at all...

Actually it is fair. Ratings go by time slot - it would be unfair to add the ratings of the 8:30 timeslot in with the 8:00 timeslot. And, the repeats of Friends at 8:30 did better than any of the new shows they put in that timeslot.

The only two shows I watched almost every week, Smallville and Enterprise, are tied for 115.
Virtually everything else I watched was either syndicated sci-fi or animated (but not the Simpsons).
So I don't like popular television. Isn't that why I am here? Aren't we all just followers of the REAL quality entertainment here? Or are we victims of our own obsession with TV? Do our personal addictions drive our emotions? Or are we just irrational couch potatoes who seek solace in the illusion that is a message board? Burn in Apokalips, philosopical sociology , cause I'm sick of your ruinous infleuence on the free and beautiful!!!
Just kidding. :D
If you really want to think about that though, go to college, or go back to college, or go ask your mother... :p
'til next time kiddies.

One of the funniest shows of the season, "The Tick", ended up in 125th place, behind no fewer than seven reality shows. As if we needed any more proof that we, as a nation, are getting dumber.

My personal favorites:
Malcolm in the Middle - #25
Andy Richter Controls the Universe - #91
Greg the Bunny - #91
Futurama - #115 (why so low? FOX gave it a great timeslot and promoted it more than any other show  )
Smallville - #115

Grounded For Life is probably doing better demographically which can ad up to better sales for advertising.

I can't believe pretty much the only shows I made it my business to watch were all tied with the Ellen Show at #115. Futurama, Enterprise, and Smallville.
There's something very wrong with that.
