Too late. Ashey Judd (High Crimes, Kiss The Girls) is playing Catwman. The movie is scheduled to film near the end of this year.

Are they really going to go through with this? Seriously, it seems that every time they cast a Batflick, it falls apart, or ends up in a constant state of suspended "production"
Ashley Judd isn't Catwoman. Michelle Pfiffer is Catwoman. Albeit, she's also in her forties now, right? Besides, wouldn't doing a Catwoman flick really mess around with the audience's mind? Chances are, they'll remember Batman Returns, ask themselves if the two movies are related, and become completely lost. I had people walking up to me who were completely confused why Harvey Dent was a black man in Batman, and then Tommy Lee Jones in Batman Forever. Ordinary folks just don't grasp the concept of mutliple interpretations. They can get over a Val Kilmer/George Clooney switch, but if you pull things like that too often, they become as lost as Rita McNeal in a health spa.
If they plan on being any sort of competition for the onslaught of Marvel blockbusters, they need to set a foundation. Do a Batman movie first, then break out the Catwoman or World's Finest spinn-offs. Otherwise, I'll be forced to answer more silly questions from strangers

Well, If Judd wasnt picked, I would have to say ELizebeth Hurly. Look at her and Darwyn Cooke's version of Catwoman. Almost identical (other then the hair, but thats not a big deal).

The latest issue of TV Guide has Ashley Judd on the cover and in the article there is a mention that she will be playing Catwoman with some of her thoughts on the character.

I still don't see how this will work. You've got Batman:Year One on the table, which has Catwoman as one of the characters, then you've got Catwoman, a film that isn't supposed to have anything to do with Selina Kyle. This basically gives you two films with two different characters playing the role of Catwoman. Why is Warner Bros. going to do this? Is Year One going to be scrapped? Is Catwoman being removed from Year One?

I think Ashley is a pretty good choice, now the story/script thats floating around - now thats the problem. It sounds BAD.

The two Catwomen are totally different. The Catwoman in Batman: Year One is a prostitute named Selina Kyle, and the Catwoman in Catwoman is a different person with a different history, played by a different actress in a movie that will likely be assembled and presented in a different fashion. I think it's ignorant to halt Catwoman because someone might be confused regarding its possible connection to Year One. If we treat our audiences like little babies, that's exactly what they're going to become.

Ok, then let's instead trust that won't make endlessly critical remarks about Year One when only a few years prior, they were presented with another brand new Catwoman who had an entirely different origin.
Seriously here, Terminatah, when a child sits on Santa's lap in a store, and then sees him standing outside ringing a bell, he's smart enough to ask questions. The same applies for the movie audience. If DC intends to do Catwoman first, I say, either tie it in to Year One, or seriously advertise that the Year One, whenever it comes out, is a stand-alone representation of Catwoman.
Soon, I'm going to start getting confused! Three Catwomen....
