It's not as bad as you think it is.

But it's still pretty bad.

Some will like it, some will dislike it. The majority of young people won't like it, hence the overwhelming dislike found on the internet. Now, their parents would enjoy it. The thing you have to remember about Baby Blues is that it is aimed at people who's situation resembles that of Daryl and Wanda. TV rule #3: If you limit the audience, the outsiders will dislike it.

You can tell from my sig that i like Baby Blues. I LOVE Baby Blues, and I don't have kids either. I just really like it. Probably the second best show I've seen on AS.

I like Baby Blues. Maybe you will, maybe you won't, but either way going into the whole thing with the preconceived idea that it's going to suck, even to go as far to shout "nooooo" in anguish, can't help.

As for ATHF, it is my opinion that the show rocks the house, and anyone who thinks otherwise is one crazy cracker.

the promos dont look good but i will watch it to see if it is good or not.I hope it is because CNUK needs more adult shows.

Baby Blues is a good show. It is hilarious but not as hilarious as anyother show on AS. I would most likely rank that as my least favorite show though.

Also if anyone disses ATHF again will have to deal with the force of the Quad Lazer!!!!

Gotta love sXe.

ATHF isn't the most intelligent show out there, but its still pretty entertaining. Baby Blues isn't a bad show. It may not be truly appreciated by many of the younger crowd, but adult swim is for adults.

I also thought the promos were lame, but after watching the show I realized that they didn't put the best stuff in the promos (for some reason). The show was good, and I have been following it along ever since.

RODNEY: (looking at mangled ZOE) Hey look at Hitler!
RMOM: That's not nice. You should say Charlie Chaplain.
RODNEY: Who was that?
RMOM: Funny little guy with a Hitler mustache.

Baby Blues is not that bad. My mom used to watch Baby Blues and Home Movies, but nothing else on Adult Swim. She wasn't even that into Home Movies, I just loved it and insisted that she watch =)

Really to enjoy Baby Blues, you need to (A) Be over the age of 25 and/or (B) Have children.

Now I qualify for neither of those, so that proves the exception to the rule, but I have a good sense of what is funny and what isn't, and I can put myself into their position and understand that all the stuff they go through would really suck. The best episode, is the one where Daryll starts going to the "chuck e. cheese-eque" place just because of the "birthday girl," a huge-breasted stripper reject who dances nearly naked if a kid there has a birthday. Much hilarity ensues as Daryll uses taking their daughter there as a way to make it seem like he's having a terrible time, even though Wanda has no clue that he's just going because of the hot chick.

UK has all the luck
They aired the Mr.Bean cartoons --- and we don't
They aired The Foxbusters series -- and we don't because no channel has the guts to but the rights to the show

UK is the luckiest country in the world

A big disparity I've noticed in the Adult Swim comedy lineup is that Baby Blues and Home Movies appear to be more grounded in reality, whereas the other shows (ATHF, Sealab, Brak, Space Ghost) are entirely fantastical.

So I guess it all comes down to your sense of humor -- some people like the nonsensical stuff and others prefer things to which they can relate. And some like both. Personally, I live in reality enough as it is. I need a little escapism, and talking Happy Meals and sex-crazed mantises fit the bill nicely.

But that's not to say the other shows don't have their merits.
