Okay, you're given the chance to make a DVD for Batman & Mr. Freeze: Sub-Zero What are the kind of extras you would put on it? Here's a list of what I'd put on:
-Theatrical Trailer
-Behind-The-Scenes on Sub-Zero
-Before Sub-Zero: Heart of Ice and Deep Freeze episodes.
-After Sub-Zero: Cold Comfort
-Interview with writer/director of Sub-Zero
-Interview with Voice Actors of Sub-Zero
-Bios for crew behind Sub-Zero
-Production Notes
-Deleted/Alternate/Extended Scenes
That'd make a beautiful DVD....

Add a commentary track to that DVD and it would be one of the best Batman animated DVDs ever!
And story boards.

it'll probably never happen. I wonder if they ever plan on even putting it on DVD.....

It won't but it is nice to dream aboiut it once and awhile. I'd like to see it come to DVD. I heard earlier thi syear it was but WB shot that down quickly.

And here I thought the new head at WB was such a big animation fan.
I say, give it time, eventually everything will come out on DVD. People get all upset because their favorite movie doesn't come out on DVD over night, but when VHS tapes were first introduced, it took them a whole lot longer to get certain movies on VHS than it is taking to get DVDs out. DVDs are cheaper and easier for the movie companies to produce, so it is only a matter of time before the format takes over VHS. I believe it is in the near future that DVD will overshadow VHS the way CDs overshadow cassette tapes today. Both formats will always be around, but once DVD becomes the MAIN format, we will see more of these titles being shot down now re-negotiated for DVD release.

I know Sub-Zero wil get on DVD someday, but it won't be pumped full of features like we'd all hope. We'll likely get the bare bones version like PHANTASM, although it'd be nice to see a disc on caliber with the ROTJ DVD.

I don't know...it seems like as time goes on, WB is realizing that bonus features are very important to fans. Look at the latest Powerpuff Girls DVD in comparison to the first two. It is much more advanced in the bonus materials department.

True, but they are still putting out bare bones DVDs in light of extra-filled DVDs. People aren't consdiering trailers to be extras anymore, but standards. I just hope the new head of WBA gives us these extras that make die hards swoon.

That's what God created petitions for!
And I've NEVER considered trailers a "bonus" feature. I am insulted when a DVD is promoted as having bonus features and all that's on there is the trailer and cast and crew bios. Cast and crew bios are ok, but you can get just as much, if not more, information from imdb.com, thus making any cast and crew bio bit on a DVD really worthless, unless they go an extra mile and give you more information than imdb.com could offer.

I don't consider those extras either. To me, extras are special, behind the scenes, interviews, commentaries, etc. If you wanna see a DVD with AMAZING extras, check out FIGHT CLUB - my favorite DVD with one of the best commentary tracks ever recorded. I'd love to see a packed Sub-Zero DVD.

I have Fight Club on DVD, of course!
My personal favorites for bonus features are both ID4 and Men in Black. Those movies really take advantage of the format.

Hey calhoun07, have you found the easter eggs on the second disc of ID4? The Men In Black DVD is one of my favorite, too. I was dissapointed Sony delayed the release of their MIB: The Series VHSs awhile back. Very nice. I love a packed DVD. Speaking of which, Disney's Dinosaur is also one of my favorite packed 2 Disc set. I'd like to see WB take advantage and make a huge 4 disc set containing MOTP, Sub-Zero, World's Finest, and a 4th disc for extras. I would buy MOTP again in a second.

Yes, I found the easter eggs! Those are always good fun!
Is Dinosaur really any good? Apart from the innovative animation, I have had no desire to see this movie.
I am holding out hope for MIB the Series on DVD yet.

Let's say we carry this thread over to the AniGen board, we're getting a bit off topic here. Anywyas, Sub-Zero on DVD would be good! (There -- back on topic!)
