Hi there. I'm a big Batman/Superman & Batman Beyond fan, and I was wondering if there was any way everyone at this website could start a petition to send to Warner Bros. to ask them to put certain (and maybe someday all) Batman/Superman & Batman Beyond on DVD. (I'm sure this idea has been presented many times, so if there already is a petition, just let me know where to sign it and consider this a reminder to all new members, like myself.)

Let's say that Warner Bros. will only come out with two DVDs of the fan's choice. Personally, I'd go with this combo:

DVD #1: Batman/Superman, "World's Finest", and Batman Beyond, "The Call"

DVD #2: Superman, "Apokolips Now!", and "Legacy"

What does everyone think? Thanks. :)

I belive there is already one. Check out animationondvd.com. I will be sure to double check that link once I get to my computer (I am at work right now) and make sure that's the right link. But they have the most current petitions posted there all the time. I know I signed one for the shows you're talking about.

Here's the petition link you want:

Just an FYI, this site had one for the same reason and it got almost 2000 sigs before I sent it to WB. We also did one for an uncut ROTJ that garnered just over 2500 sigs

Don't forget to check out the petitions on animationondvd.com. I can't recommend this site highly enough. Here is the link:

I see they have a new one up to get the Beatles cartoons on DVD! I have to go back there and sign that one!

I am sure everything will be on DVD in five years or so. It takes a while to switch over to a total new format for anybody. When CDs first came out, it took FOREVER for some great LPs to be reissued on CD, and even then not all those CDs were good quality so they had to be redone digitally. And when VHS first came out, there were slim pickins too. The people who are upset about titles not being on DVD seem to forget this.

True, true. I'm sure DVD will be the norm in no time. It's already half-way there. PLus, with the increasing popularity of putting show son DVD, it is only a matter of time.

The thing about TV shows on DVD is that it's not like TV shows on VHS where it seemed more of a novelty, and then they only did best of tapes. DVD gives them the freedom to put out complete seasons and it is appearing as if DVD buyers will now accept nothing less! I hope ALL the studios start paying attention to this trend and stop putting TV shows on in best of DVDs and out in season sets instead.
