What do all the BATMAN BEYOND DVD's contain ?

how many episodes have been put to dvd so far ? and are there any plans for more ?

WB has released one Batman Beyond DVD so far, entitled BATMAN BEYOND: THE MOVIE. The DVD contained Rebirth, plus Golem, Meltdown, Wining Edge, and Dead Man's Hand.

WB has released six VHS episode complilations featuring Rebirth, Black Out, Dissapearing Inque, Golem, Winning Edge, Heroes, Shriek, Spellbound, Touch of Curare, Dead Man's Hand, Lost Soul, Splicers, Rats, Once Burned, Terry's Friend Dates A Robot, Hooked Up.

WB released a statement saying they plan to release all 52 episodes to VHS. The last wave the released was last summer. The BATMAN BEYOND DVD is labeled as Vol. 1 in all the WB catelogues, giving the impression there is more to come.

I know VHS still has a certain stronghold in this country, but for the WB to be so ignorant and say they are just going to put these out on VHS is like saying they are going to release all their records on 8-Track from this point on. Or just cassette. I know that in their thinking the only people who like Batman Beyond are under the age of six (at least that's the impression they give when they cut up ROTJ and release statements like this) and that VHS has more durability for a kid vid market (which is why parents often still buy both DVD and VHS and give their old VCRs to the kids) but DVD is so much cheaper to produce. Why not just do both projects all at once?

I agree. A good example is their VHS only release of the first 6 X-MEN: EVOLUTION episodes. While I don't like the show, I still woulda liked to pick them up on a cheap DVD to put aside the X-MEN: TAS DVD I have (more coming in June!). I think WB will release them on DVD...soon. On the plus side, a division of TIME WARNER, New Line, is abandoning the 'snapper case' look. The reason why WB still does the snapper case is becuase they own majority stock in the company that makes snapper cases. Me no likee WB snapper cases.

Not to sound too ignorant, but I am just getting into the whole DVD thing... what's a "snapper case"?
