Very good idea. I just hope that WB will learn their lesson one day, as far as their way of dealing with animation fans. WB suffers from a bad case of ignorance. Releasing BB in DVD box sets would surely get my hard earned bucks moving WB's way. Seeing as how they haven't released an uncut ROTJ yet I wouldn't hold my breath.

If they won't release Batman Beyond on DVD, will they at least release the rest of the episodes on VHS?

A-ha ha ha ha ha. Snort. ::wipes eyes::
Warners releasing BB in any format? That's got to be one of the funniest things anyone has ever said around here.

It would be nice to get a boxed set or even just five or six episode DVD's, but like Maxie said, it'll never happen.... unless these guys accidentally approve it....

You know. I remember 2 summers ago when WB said that they will put all 52 episodes of BATMAN BEYOND to tape, butcause the fans "deserve" it. Well, we've only seen 17 episodes hit the streets, and the last wave came in the first quarter of last year - in 2000!

Wasn't the first Batman Beyond DVD officially listed as "volume one" in Warner Brothers' catalogues and listings, suggesting new DVDs were on the way? Pity they never got to volume two.

Yeah that aint cool. Humph, take a teen show in a direction OPPOSITE that of Dawson's Creek and they end your life pretty darn quick, leaving nothing but broken promises.
If yall like the BTAS/TNBA format that Columbia House has, their new DVD TV show line has Batman Beyond. Don't know about the format and specific episodes though.

WHAT???? Columbia House has Batman Beyond available on DVD?????? Is this for real? Is it available NOW?

Yeah, Nightwing - what's the deal? When did you hear about this? Did they list a price? This coild be good news!

I checked out Columbia House's website, and found no listing for Batman Beyond on VHS or DVD. So where did this info come from, Nightwing? Please share! You got me so excited now, don't leave me hanging, man!

Actually, COLUMBIA HOUSE does have a pic of the Batman Beyond: The movie cover on their mainpage, but I can't find info either.

Well, that's no big deal...that's available on DVD to anybody. Columbia House has exclusive rights to certain shows on tape, but their DVD collection right now are just DVDs that are available in the stores, so I don't see the big motivation to order from them right now. I will be happy when they get EXCLUSIVE material out on DVD!

Maybe it would mean no snap case. Still, though, if Columbia House does have Batman Beyond on DVD, it would be the one Batman Beyond TV DVD WB released back a year or so. That's not really a collection...
Come on Nightwing - help us out!! :)

I'm so sorry, I thought they made this public and since no one talked about it then no one cared. If I knew it was the opposite I would have monitered this thread more.
Well anyway, in the berserker barage of papers that comes with each of my BTAS/TNBA tapes, one new set of DVD releases was of Batman Beyond. I'm not sure of the number of episodes per DVD cuz I just didn't feel the need to look into it.
There really wasn't much listed in the next next to the image. Just the usual "action packed" etc and a description of what BB is. I guess I (or we or whatever) could go to columbiahouse.com and email them, telling them they have a huge clump of BB fans here who want the full scoop on the BB DVD line's specifics. That's really all I can think of to make up for my ignorance. :o

Gah! Man, this is definitly awesome news! If there's anyway you can find out more, that'd be GREAT!!
...possibilities of no snapper cases dance in my head...

For those of you who may have missed it on the DVD Discussion board (PLUG!), Time Life now has an EXCLUSIVE DVD set of the Muppet Show! TEN DVDs!!!!! And for 175.00, a fair price, tho I wish I could find it cheaper, but I will more than likely get it. So what does this have to do with Batman Beyond on DVD? Well, if Time Life is putting out exclusive material on DVD, could Columbia House be far behind? And Nightwing apparently recieved some kind of mailing about it, so I have hope!

I just hope this turns out positive! If it does, we'll likely see UNMASKED on the DVDs before KWB airs it...

Was this on a website or something? If so, maybe you can email them and hold them to it by calling them liars or something. You can think of something. I know you could.

Nope -- worse! This was in their press release about the Batman Beyond VHS tapes. It was their standard 'commitment to the fans" schlock all throughout. We were supposed to get a 4th wave of tape at the end of last year, but they never came. It was supposed to contain the now infamous BLIGHT cassette.

Oh that stinks. I hate liars.
James Harvey

Better believe that stinks! We would've gotten 12 more episodes on VHS, but WB juast axed it. Instead we got friggin' X-MEN: EVOLUTION tapes...

X-Men: Evolution blows! I can't bear to watch that show.

That's funny (well, for the next few moments anyway, until the reality comes back) cuz I just saw the X-Men Evolution tapes the other day. I wept because in their place I should have seen BB stuff.

I was just angry that WB is forking out tapes for X-MEN: EVO Instead of BATMAN BEYOND. But whatever makes them money...*sigh*...

For anyone who cares - I did fire off a message to the Columbia House folks about the Batman Beyond series coming to DVD.
Here is their response:
Thank you for your e-mail message.
At this time we have no additional information on when/if the Batman: Beyond series will be released in the DVD format.
A suggestion has been forwarded to the appropriate department to try and have this series added in the DVD format in the future.
If we may be of further service, please let us know.
So, there you go for what it's worth...
It would be nice if someone who received the flyer could scan it and send me a copy.

Do you think they even gave it to anyone?
James Harvey
08-12-2001, 08:53 PM
According to COLUMBIA HOUSE, they won't be doing it anytime soon. If WB releases episodes on DVD, then they'll just release those.

Dang, they need to let Time Life do it. They got the Muppet Show exclusive on DVD, so I am sure they will be doing more.

Ya know, I find that email pretty damn suspicious. Why would those jack-a-ninies (sorry, in Ned Flanders mode for a minute there) show me a picture on of those endless numbered pamphlets they send me? Eh, maybe it was a preview or something. Still....I wonder....
Calhoun07

Could it be Nightwing got reliable information but DG got somebody who didn't know what they were talking about? Just cuz they work there and answer the email, doesn't mean they know EVERYTHING. They could have made a mistake.
I know, I know. I am clinging to this hope with all my might!

It turns the the BB collection is the tapes and DVDs that WB has released. Sucky, I know.
