"Shishkabugs" again? Man, it seems like that cartoon is played about once every week. I don't even think that one is quite that good. I mean it's not bad or anything, just not one of the best Bugs cartoons and I don't think it should be overplayed. "Three Little Bops" was one of my favorites though.

"Hairied and Hurried" seems to be on more than most other 1965-66 Roadrunner cartoons.

SHISHKABUGS [1962/Freleng]
- After Sam slams the door on Bugs, the camera pans down on the scene a little bit for no apparent reason. Why did the camera do this so many times in the later cartoons?
- There's really nothing to say about this cartoon. It wasn't very funny, so...
RATING: 2 out of 5 cooked rabbits
FRENCH RAREBIT [1951/McKimson]
- The second cartoon in a row in today's show, dealing with somebody trying to cook bugs.
- Ever notice that whenever Bugs, or sometimes Daffy, is against two partners or brothers, one of those brothers always has red hair, and the other has black hair? It's like that with the two chefs in this cartoon, the two hayseeds in THE OILY HARE, the two Yosemite Sam-like guys in AIN'T THAT DUCKY, and the two hillbillies in HILLBILLY BUGS.
- After Bugs put the black-haired chef in flour, then put him in the bowl, what was the first food that Bugs started cutting? It looked like a carrot, only it was colored yellow. Was that just miscoloring, or was it some other type of food.
- Just about all of McKimson's cartoons from the late 40's and early 50's are great, in my opinion.
RATING: 4 out of 5 dynamite carrots
THE DUCKSTERS [1950/Jones]
- A very creative new type of cartoon for the Porky and Daffy team-up.
RATING: 5 out of 5 corny ad slogans

I answered this in another thread, but I think it was because the tops and bottoms were cropped off in theaters for a widescreen effect starting in the mid 50s. The camera would pan a little bit to keep the action in the field of view so that audiences wouldn't miss anything important.
It looks odd on TV because you are seeing the cartoon "open matte" (I think that is what it is called), but in a theater all of the camera movements would just be keeping the characters into view.

Not to be a d***, but I believe you are thinking of "Along Came Daffy". "Ain't That Ducky" is the one with the Victor Moore caricature and the forever-crying little duck.

Oops, you're right, I meant ALONG CAME DAFFY.
