Hi!

Has anyone else noticed Over the Edge being partially edited?

I'm from the UK, and at the beginning of this episode when it's shown on Sky One, the scene where Batgirl lands on her father's squad car is edited out of the episode. If anybody else has noticed edits like this, please let me know.

really? weird. I've never seen those type of edits--then again I live in the US.

Still, it's weird. Though, I know the creators were surprised they were able to keep that scene....since it IS sorta violent for TV...

Hm. No, I haven't seen that in the US, but then again, US TV seems to be better with violence than Europe is. I remember ten years ago the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie was deemed to be unsuitable for anyone under 15 in Germany.

I noticed that when I first saw the episode on Sky. It's a shame they cut it really.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I think the thing about this cut in the episode is that it's condonable in the respect that it could upset the younger part of the audience.

The cut itself is well done, but the effect it has on the rest of the episode is that we are left wondering where Commissioner Gordon came from when we see him down on the ground with Batgirl.

The only other cut I've noticed on the Sky One run of Batman The Animated Series is in Girls' Night Out. A little bit of the scene where Livewire writhes as she conducts the electricity in the back of the prison van is cut. It's a very strange cut in the sense that it's a cut of about one second of action, so little that it doesn't seem worth it!
