what side do you choose?

in the onslaught of star wars mania, cosplaying at theaters, and dreaming of going to skywalker ranch, i've been wondering something. if given the chance, what side would you choose?

would you become a jedi knight and protect all that is good and happy, like bunnies and ewoks, fighting bad things like stormtroopers, and prevent dark side rule at all costs?

or would you go to the dark side and become a sith lord, destroying cute thingies and making large spherical objects in space just to kill things like ewoks and rebels to aquire world domination?

Light Side, not question about it! Sure, it's fun to be evil: you wear black, have a red lightsaber, destroy things, wreak havoc, people cower when you go by and you can show up the Jedi's....But I would much rather be a Jedi: you're honored and respected, you save things, show up the Dark Side, get to talk with other awesome Jedi like Yoda and Windu...and have the possibility of having a blue, green, purple, or any other colored lightsaber. I would go for blue or purple, the purple is just so kick ass, but Obi-Wan had blue. Plus, when you get right down to it, it's all about having a Padawan braid (like I do have, I love being a girl with long hair), my friend, because those things are so much fun!

I would choose the third option (brought to my attention by the nice people at ForceAcademy.com (http://www.forceacademy.com) : A Shadow-side Jedi. Basically, it's a type of ronin jedi, with no master or allegiance to anyone. He masters all aspects of the Force, Light and Dark... there is no conflict in him, he is in perfect balance.

But if that's not an option, have to be on the forces of good (maybe :rolleyes: )

I would probably be on the side of good. The philosophy of being ruled by reason and force rather than anger and hate appeals very much to me. Not to mention the downside of being a bad guy in the star wars universe: someone is going to take you down.

Maybe the Dark Side, just to be different. Plus, it's much more powerful than the Light Force.

I'd start out as a Jedi, but eventually it'd be a question of wherther or not my innate darkness and anger would push me over to the other side or not. Or maybe I'd be like Qui, whose stubbornness, disobedience and materialism kept his body from turning to vapor in the end like a true Jedi's is supposed to...never really been one much for rules, and it's a high honor to have your loved ones go through all the trouble of building a funeral pyre. Look at Beowulf....
