Earlier today, three rare cartoon videos came in the mail.
This is what I got:
MERRIE MELODIES VOLUME 3 (8 Cartoons)
One Step Ahead of My Shadow
The whole cartoon focuses on Chinese people. No wonder CN doesn't air it.
Young and Healthy
There are so many characters in this cartoon, most of which have no names. There is the fat King Louis who is lazy early in the cartoon.
LOONEY TUNES VOLUME 9 (7 Cartoons)
Buddy's Bug Hunt
One of the better Buddy cartoons. To add to the goodness, this is the first appearance of an Acme product. (I saw Acme fly paper)
Buddy in Africa
Buddy drives his "Variety Store" truck. African Natives come up and take all the stuff. It seemed like Buddy was offering the stuff!
Buddy Steps Out
Nonliving characters come to life when Buddy goes out with Cookie.
Buddy the Gee Man
This is the last Buddy cartoon. It seemed interesting, but I don't know why.
A Cartoonist's Nightmare
I feel like I have waited forever to see this one! It's as good as I expected. With an animator and cartoon characters interacting, it couldn't be better.
Hollywood Capers
Beans disguises himself and tries to get into Hollywood.
LOONEY TUNES VOLUME 10 (8 Cartoons)
The Phantom Ship
While searching for treasure, nonliving objects turn real for a second. Frozen people suddenly wake up.
The Fire Alarm
Beans does not do a good job watching Ham and Ex. They pull a fire alarm, and get spanked at the end.
Westward Whoa
It is annoying but understandable why Porky Pig does not believe that the Indians are really there. In case you were wondering, this is the original Black and White version.
