I remember seeing I'll Never Crow Again on LNB&W recently. I never watch redrawn Popeyes.

As for A Horsefly Fleas, it was ruined by Cargoon Networm. It was a nice rare classic until they aired it 4 times in the last 4 months.:(

"The Dover Boys"
This is probably one of Jones' trippiest cartoons; this was the first time I'd seen it, and I was laughing constantly, esp. at hte weird way the people walked. Fav scene: the heroine is pounding on the door screaming her head off, and every time the villain advances, she grabs him and beats him up, then resumes crying for help. The Dover Boys appeared in two Animaniacs shorts: one with Slappy vs. Daniel Boone, and "Magic Time", with Yakko, Wakko, and Dot.

"The Truce Hurts" (MGM)
Fartoon Netjerks (Hey, I can parody names too!) cut my favorite bit, the blackface gag after Spike, Tom and Jerry are splashed with mud. Nice to see the boys get along and protect each other...if only briefly.

"The Cat Came Back"
Bitter enemies work together for a common cause--saving a kitten that has fallen into the sewer. Pity the mother cat couldn't forgive the eyepoke and rekindled the feud. Fav scene: the training sequences in both camps.

"I'll Never Crow Again" (Popeye)
I wonder why Popeye isn't chagrined he's dating a dame whose mug can scare a crow?

"Busybody Bear" (MGM)
Barney really comes off looking like a horse's butt in this one. He's bad enough when he's just being mediocre, but here he's downright intrusive and unlikable.

"A Horsefly Fleas"
Thad says it's overplayed, but this was my first viewing. Not as good as the original flea short, which I fondly remember watching as a kid, but I was happy to see some nice non-PC Injun fleas. Now I'll be singing that "Food Around the Corner" song all dang day.

Thad hasn't posted in this thread. Did he mention that somewhere else? I don't remember him saying that.
