Question about the MOVIE MATINEE tapes....

I know what cartoons are on them, but what movies were they? I'd really like to add the series to my Lantz guide, but I don't know which movies they are.

You mean the Universal Matinee series with Buck Jones that was mentioned a while back? Here are the three movies in that series.

Law for Tombstone
Stone of Silver Creek
The Ivory-Handled Gun

I don't know which cartoons match up with which movies, though.

do you know what cartoons are on those tapes (it doesn't matter exactly which cartoon is on which tape- I'm just curious about the titles.....)

I now know which cartunes are on the tapes, and what movies they are with them, just not WHICH cartune is with WHICH movie. The cartunes on the tapes are:

"The Hollywood Bowl"(1938)
"Ghost Town Frolics"(1938)
"The One Armed Bandit"(1939)

It is weird that I know what year over 90% of the WB cartoons were released in, but I have never heard of most of the Lantz titles. I believe The Hollywood Bowl was later made an MGM Tom & Jerry title.
