Welllllllllllll, since CN/AOL-Time-Warner thinks we love these moronic commericals (TRUCKS AND MORE TRUCKS, Shirley Temple) enough to barrage us with them till we pass out... Then why don't they just start a whole new channel called CN's Stupidest Ads!!! (I can personally guarantee some viewership... Of course it will consist of those same great minds that decided to LIE TO US ALL and dump 12 superb Bugs Bunny cartoons made by widely acknoweledged cartoon geniuses...!!!) Then the advertisers can look at the Nielsen's and see that "LO and Behold!!" people are watching these things (watching NOT ordering) and the rest of us will be freed from the worst ads on TV !!! All in favor say AYE!!

The Shirley Temple commercial is an annoying commercial. I can stand the Anne Murray commercial as well as the one for Miss Cleo. But I can't stand any Pillsbury commercials with that annoying jingle.

Actually, I think the "I'm a little tea pot short and stout" commercial has taken over the air waves, even more so then "Trucks" and Shirley.

I think the Shirley Temple commercial gets my vote. there are a couple others though.....the "Froot Loops" ads with Sam the Toucan, the "Chuck E. Cheese" commercials, and that mechanical toothbrush...arghhh! Make it stop! Most of the time, though, I just stop my tape if I can, and if I'm watching one from a timed taping I just fast forward them. It's the same with all the cable channels, you get a big block of program (20 minutes of a movie, 15 minutes of a show, or 2 cartoons, generally) and then a big block of commercials. My dad counted 10 ads on TNT one time, and they were about a minute each!

They should just cut commercials all together, but it'll never happen.

I'm a big-time supporter for film restoration and the Shirley Temple commercial is a bunch of baloney!

First, it's not even restored...

Note the poor quality of the film and the sound.

Second, they're NOT the original films!

The colorizations aren't even good (Colorization Inc. did them)

Color Systems Tech. Inc. has been praised for their colorizing work (The Turner colorizations look accurate)

They're saying they'll never be offered again because they have a huge warehouse of the colorized versions...they need to get rid of them.:D

Here's a commercial CN could show: an ad for a video called Bugs Bunny: Too Hot For TV! It would consist of clips from the the recent "Bugs Bunny Censored 12" list and have black boxes over the offending visuals and bleeps over the name-calling dialogue. The video itself would be uncensored (of course) and be a best seller with the notoriety these shorts have received in the last week.
