Corrupt Businessman Lex vs Mad Scientist Lex?

Recently there was a post with news from the comic con regarding character designs for the JL series... it was said that it looks like they are taking Lex back to the mad scientist, green and purple armor version from back in the Silver Age. This troubles me a bit, as I always thought Corrupt Businessman Lex was infinitely cooler than Mad Scientist Lex. What does everyone else think?

Also, I know they are tweaking continuity here and there (i.e. John Stewart as Green Lantern instead of Kyle Rayner), but I hope they explain the change in Lex, instead of just being like, "Well, now he's a mad scientist." If they had some storyline where like, Lex gets shot, and needs the suit for life support, and can't run his company any more, well that'd be cool, because it'd explain the character change.... y'know?

Well since it appears that the pilot ep has been changed from the GL ep to an alien invasion
story (go read the newspage (http://wf.toonzone.net/wfnews/) ) with what may end up being a whole bunch of distruction across the planet. I'm guessing that Lex will lose a lot in that story, go into hiding, plot to take down the JL (who he views as partially responsible for his losses), and rebuild his empire on the side.

edit: And yes I too prefer my Lex with Corrupt Businessman action.

I'll have to say, I too really enjoyed Lex's revision into a corrupt businessman in the Superman series. Even so, I'm confident that the creators will give him a good reason for putting on the purple suit.

I also like the corrupt business man Lex better than my perception of a mad scientist Lex. But hey, a lot of things are going to be different in JL than in the characters' individual series', so if i trust 'em w/ my good guys, then i trust 'em w/ my bad guys.

Yeah Bruce Timm said that one of the episodes will explain why Lex is in the robot suit.

I'm hoping that Superman ruined Lex by finally implicating him in one of his schemes. This would be one explaination for Lex's more hands on approach to destroying Superman, and his more public villainous behavior.
