Which animated movie do you think will do better? Disney's "Lilo and Stich" or Dreamworks' "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron"?
From what I see from the previews and a few reviews, Lilo and Stich looks sounds like a extended a Saturday Morning Cartoon Special about depression, dead parents, and family. Being made out the era of Esiner-Disney, of course it has all the CGI effects, kiddie humor, and all the other bells and whisles to make the kiddies say "oooh aaah wow" so they can get all their LaS merchandice off the shelves and treat it like royalty, until the next Disney movie comes out and they'll just forget this one.(you are such a a-hole Esiner! ) This movie looks like it's for the guy who wants to see fancy eye candy.
Now Spirit look and sounds like an animated movie with substance. It doesn't have all the fancy CGI effects in ever shot, the goofy side-kick, the great evil powerful villan who wants to rule the universe, or all the other bells and whisles because it doesn't need it to tell a great story about having a free spirit. This movie looks like it's for those who want to see a good movie with a good story and substance.
Even though I like Spirit more than LaS, most likely LaS will make more will do better because Disney has been advertising it like crazy and the story in Spirit maybe a little advance for the kiddies.
