I guess this is OAQ (occassionally asked questions!)

First one's kinda dumb....what does GMT mean for the time at the bottom of the page? It doesn't appear to be an North American time zone. Why not use a North American time zone time as the current time since this board's memebers mostly populate that continent?

How do I reset my preferences to display more than thirty threads at a time? I tried at the bottom of the page where it appears to allow you to do so, but for mine, it will only do it that once but when I get back on the board, it is displaying 30 messages again. Do I have to do something different to affect the change for good?

It is Greenwich Mean time. It is where time starts you either plus or minus the hour from it to get the time zone.

A) There could be forein members
B) It is common practise to use GMT since "STANDARD TIME" dictates that time starts there and we use standard time. It would be a make people on the other side of Greenwich curse us if we use a North American time zone as the zero mark since they'd have to add a lot of hours to get their time. All you have to do is subtract the correct number of hours and you'll get your local time.

Go to Control Panel at the top then go Edit Options the go down to Default Posts per Thread and change it there

Also...if you go to edit options and scroll down, you can find an option that will allow you to change the board posting times so that it is set to your time.

all of the problems can be solved by taking a look at all of the options in the control panel
