Last year the network was thrilled with the WB was especially high on three of its new shows: "Maybe It's Me," "Reba" and "Smallville." While the latter two were picked up in January for a sophomore season, "Maybe It's Me" appears to have not met the cut, along with the Bob Saget comedy "Raising Dad."
However, the often maligned "Off Centre" is getting a second chance.

Angel's back! Interesting time slot though. Thank god the X-Files are ending, if I had to choose between the two shows...
It could be interesting if Fox decides to pit Whedon's Firefly against Whedon's Angel.

Man, they should stick 7th Heaven & Gilmore Girls on the same night...those two shows just scream of similarity...
And axe Dawson's Creek while they're at it...
And make one night a 3-hour prime-time slot...and place Angel, Smallville & Birds of Prey all on one night.

Kind of a weird schedule - especially with Angel and Charmed moving to Sunday night. Hopefully this will be changed as it would then compete with Alias and would be too difficult to miss Alias (especially as amazing as it's been). Tuesdays will continue to be the best night to watch WB (Gilmore Girls has been consistently funny and Smallville has been nothing short of Super). Birds of Prey could be really good and will hopefully attract an audience. Past that there really isn't anything else that sparks my interest.

Is it just me, or does "Do Over" sound like an 80s version of "Peggy Sue Got Married." ?
It has the possibility to be good if it doesn't obsessively focus on the superficial like That 80s Show.

Now that's odd... the pilot I saw of the New Family Affair was for an hour long show.
Do Over in the other hand, sounds a lot like ABC's upcoming 'That Was Then' pilot.

"Maybe It's Me" appears to have not met the cut, along with the Bob Saget comedy "Raising Dad."*in his best Penelope from the Amanda Show voice* Darn It, Please! hopfully this doesnt mean Nickelodeon will go over board with repeats of Raising Dad

Maybe BOP is in a "death sentence" time slot, and maybe it isn't. Nonetheless, it's time slot works for me, you can bet I'll watch and tape it! And, it was obviously the only spot it could get into. But I agree, Raising Dad and Reba need to get tossed. BOP should have gotten one of their spots. And I'm in favor of seeing Dawson's Creek bite the big one, except that it's such a big money maker for WB, and it'll be a while before that show finalls dies off.

i dont think BOP would be entertaining to people who watch The West Wing anyway.

Having Charmed and Angel on the same night makes sense, but Sunday? I guess they don't want to compete with wrestling any longer and since the X-files will be gone, I guess the head honchos think the sci-fi crowd will flock to the WB.
And I've been saying for several seasons now that Dawson's Creek needs to die! And I used to be a huge fan. But there just isn't any interest any more. About the only episode I liked from this past season was the one where Dawson's father died and the funeral, but after that it was downhill. The show should have ended after they graduated high school. Hearing the actors talk, even they don't really like being on the show. They always refer to having x amount of time left on their contract. At least they acknowledge that the show has made them into stars and allowed them to do other projects (unlike people like Shannon Dougherty or Amy Jo Johnson who say the shows that made them famous killed their careers, but that's another story for another time).

I think that the Sunday time slot for Angel and Charmed is a bad idea - I think that these two mainstays should have been given the Monday slot and that 7th Heaven should have been moved somewhere else on the schedule. The Wednesday showing of BOP should be fine for the show and will have a popular lead in. I agree with the assesment that Dawsons Creek needs to end and I'm gald to see Felicity no longer taking up space. I was saddened to hear that Maybe It's Me was axed because the show was really funny but I didn't feel any loss by seeing Raising Dad being shelved.
Hopefully WB will clean up their schedule a little bit because there is no way I can drop Alias to watch Angel. IMHO I think Alias has been more entertaining thus far and, while a fan of Angel, I can't drop Alias cold turkey.

I'll be watching Smallville again and will most likely be adding Birds of Prey to my over-stuffed TV watching schedule. WB never has too much for me though.

The WB, the ONLY non-cable network I can watch everyday (it's the only 'favorite' on my cable box besides Cartoon Network and Toon Disney), especially with my affiliate in Los Angeles.
The Fall schedule looks promising. I particulary look forward to watching Birds of Prey, at least now I can enjoy a show after Enterprise. First UPN incompetantly slashed Special Unit 2, which was great, then the Job left ABC. I need something on the funny, yet serious side, and hopefully Birds of Prey will fill that oh-so important Wednesday sci-fi spot.
I am not a fan of all of the comedies, it reminds me of the old ABC days (when they were watchable). The one-hour dramas, in my opinion, should stay on the weeknight schedule. The WWE is failing, and only Buffy and Enterprise are worth watching. This is the WB's chance to rid themselves of UPN in the ratings with their far more compelling stuff. (If the WB ever takes back Buffy, it's over for the oopin' network.)
til next time kiddies...

Do you guys think the wb is thinking of a Charmed/Angel cross over episode?
