Good day to you all fan folk people! I hope you like new FQs, cuz that's all I have to give!
With all the Star Wars hype resurfacing, it got me thinking. And as my usual train of thought goes, thinking got me wondering. Which then led to:
Who is your favorite Jedi?? Why??

hehe..I love Star Wars... :D
hmm..fave Jedi? Well, lets see
Light Side:
Yoda- Why? do I need to tell ya? ;)
Obi-Wan-see above
Mace-he's just got that feeling to him that he's gonna get medievil on your hiney...
Dark Side:
Vader-Same as Yoda and Obi
Dooku-He's gonna be cool.
Maul-Sure,he's dead, but that double-bladed saber was sweet.
So, overall, it's a tie between Yoda and Vader...
*holds back the urge to type a 15 paragraph reason why Yoda and Vader are tied*

Anakin. Yoda sensed his darkness early on and refused to train him as a boy. Qui defied the old troll and went ahead with the training, and upon his death passed it on to Obi-Wan. How precognitive is Yoda? If he knew the future Vader was right in front of him, why didn't he say so? Or would no one have believed him, thinking that after seven hundred years or so the old bugger'd finally gotten senile?
This brings me to the major difference in the two antiheroes of SW, Darth Vader and Boba Fett. Fett was pretty much a slave to destiny: created to be a hunter, lived a hunter, died a hunter. Anakin, however, defied fate and decided to choose a new path--maybe not the best one, but not the one cut out for him, which is admirable for what it's worth.
Also, I was trying to figure out the whole implied immaculate conception thing in Phantom Menace: midiclorians just created him. My theory is that Ani's mother was a prostitute at some time and one of her clients happened to be a wandering Jedi with a pocketful of creds. That or she went swimming in/drank water that had been...well...tainted by Jedi seed. :p

Ok, I'm not going to type a thirty page post about why I love such and such... at least I'm desperately going to try.
I'll have to say that Yoda is definitely tops on my list. With Vader probably neck and neck with him. I won't go on and on about it... I'm sure it's pretty obvious to anyone who knows anything about Star Wars why.
And, 'cause I know someone, but I won't say who, will ask, I have to say Obi-Wan -- and yes there are the obvious reasons why he's a favorite... but of course, and far more important, is the whole Ewan McGregor factor... need I say more? (Well, I could, but I'm resisting, remember?)
Other than that, I have to say Maul -- cause BB's right, that double-edged lightsaber was just to die for. And who cares that he got sliced in half -- he still was awesome!
Ok... I'm going to stop now... <begins to tediously pry her fingers from the keyboard>

Obi Wan Kenobi. The cool arrogant and brash one from Episode I. Yes I realise this was the worst one, but it had my favorite Jedi in it.

Gotta be Luke Skywalker. He goes from being some whiny kid on a backwoods waste of a planet and becomes a true Jedi Knight, the last of his kind. He may not have been as smooth as Qui Gon or Obi Wan, but have either of them taken out Death Stars? :)

Anakin appears to resemble a prophecy of one who will bring balance to the Force. But that isn't too clear, and Yoda senses trouble when the "Chosen One" is older than new Jedi trainees and angry. Anakin des bring balance to the Force by destroying the Sith from within, and fathering a new Jedi order to replace one that has grown overconfident and ineffective all at once. It's a bloody job, but it is the one that Anakin eventually fulfills.

Actually, Boss Nass and a couple of Gungans visited Tatooine. Jar Jar's promiscious behavior on the trip not only created Anakin Skywalker, but got him banished upon the return to Naboo. When Shmi saw him again in TPM, she was so embarassed that she came up with the immaculate conception thing. So less embarassing for all the parties involved. :p

Definitely Obi-Wan Kenobi! Smart, classy, and (in the original trilogy) portrayed by (Jedi) Master actor Sir Alec Guiness. What more could you ask for?

Gotta be Mace Windu. The man is just too cool, and is someone you definitely wouldn't mess with. And Samuel L. Jackson as Mace--muy bueno! :)

Yoda. I mean, he's small, green, and he could kick Superman's butt.

Yoda. I can't wait to see his fights scenes in Ep 2!

Vader. Oh, so definetly Vader. He's so ruthless that he kills his own men to boost the loyalty of the others. Now that's a Dark Lord.

I like Obi-wan, Mase Windu and Yoda.
Its amazing how these new Star Wars movie fight scenes make the old characters look bad. Vader was so stiff when he fought that if he was thrown into the current setting he sould get his tail kicked pretty bad.

Obi-Wan Kenobi, good ol' Ben. He's my all time favorite Jedi. He;s such a prominent figure in everything. Obi-Wan was so devoted to Qui Gon Jin, I mean, he continues training this little kid who he has mixed feelings about, because his Jedi Master was so passionate about this boy becoming a Jedi. He trains Anakin, something he may or may not regret later. He's friends with R2D2...what's cooler than that?! And his character in its entirety is so awesome. Intelligent, loyal, brave, strong, courageous, trusting and intriguing enough. And I love being able to see him develop through the first four episodes, it's amazing how much happens to hi, and how he develops through each one.

I kinda like the old established grandfatherly guys, so I'll have to go with Qui Gon. I was sad to see him die in Episode 1.
My next favorites in order are:
-Phantom Menace Obi Wan
-Darth Vader
-Luke Skywalker
-Yoda
-Mace Windu
-Darth Maul
-Anakin Skywalker (My opinion WILL change with Episode 2)
Hey, what about the emperor? He is Darth Vader's master, so wouldn't he know the force too? He knows what it is, and the way he pressures Luke about it in Return of the Jedi, he makes himself to be the master of the Dark Side of the force.

Well i'm not gonna give off a list or nothin, but since you asked Jedi i'm going to assume that doesn't mean sith. So i go for the least chosen one. Qui Gon. I mean come on he was just cool.

People are wondering about the immaculate conception. I'm no Star Wars expert, but I read something a few years ago that said she was impregnated by the force. Must be why Anakin has like, the most force.
As for my favorite Jedi, I would have to say Yoda and Mace Windu because they are badass.

The prequel Obi-Wan is definately my favorite Jedi. He's got a sense of humor, he's slightly arrogant and he truly does care for his padawan.
After that...it's Mace. He's just bad...and there's no denying it.

This is a tough one since I seem to like them all but I guess I have an affinity for Obi-wan because of the original trilogy. I still remember being shocked when he died in A New Hope. Then Yoda and Luke started to be my favorites and Vader was a bad ass sith. But now with the new episodes I guess it would have to go back to Obi-Wan Kenobi. Plus he kind of reminds me of Batman now in a way in episode II. So my list of favorites would go like this:
Jedi:
Obi-wan
Yoda/Luke
Anakin
Mace Windu
Qui-Gon
Sith:
Vader
Maul
Dooku
Sidious
Parallax

Well I would say Luke since he's my favorite character, but I think more of him as a pilot then a Jedi.So I would have to say Darth Vader, the badest man in the universe.

After seeing Episode II, I'd say a tie between Yoda and Obi-Wan.
Obi obviously isn't the strongest Jedi at all, but I just love his wisdom that's started to reappear in Episode II. Ewan McGregor's got the great Mr. Guinness's style down in it.
And Yoda...Well, after the end fight scene, I can see why everyone holds him in such high regard. He's a fast little bugger!

Obi Wan Kenobi, no question. He's intelligent and wise, and just plain cool. Not to mention, he's the only character in the prequels that I don't hate.

Favorite Sith Lord:
Darth Maul brings new meaning to the word cool. He is just totally awesome in all respects, too bad he's gone.
Favorite Jedi Knight:
He's big. He's black. He's Mace Windu. He is total badass man, with his purple lightsaber he is just too cool.
I don't know about you guys, but when he knocked off Jango's head I totally marked out.
Those are the two coolest, although Yoda is sick too.

I am more hardcore than thou....
My pick: Ulic Qel-Droma from the Tales of the Jedi.
It was through him I found out way Vader, Qui-Gon and other Jedi didn't disapear when they died. For that is an honor reserved for only true Jedi Masters.
Much love, Ulic! Too bad about the unfortunate name tho....

Luke. Something nostalgic maybe. I used to think Luke was really cool (that difficult choice - who would you be as a kid - Han had the cool ship, but Luke had the Lightsabre, Han got Frozen (yeek) yet Luke had his hand cut off. Han gets the girl, Luke gets, well, a duff haircut..)
I think Luke's plight will become more interesting as we have more of Anakin to compare with. We will see actually how dangerous Luke's path was and see new depths in Ben and Yoda's fear that Luke may turn...
