Now that Scooby-Doo and countless re-reuns of "Ed, Edd and Eddy," "Johnny Bravo," "Sheep..." spreading around CN like the black plauge, which nightmare scenario would YOU prefer?

I chose early Chuck Jones cartoons, hardly a "nightmare situation." I'd actually enjoy it with the ecception a few cartoons.

If somebody wanted their "nightmare" to end faster, they would choose the Dietch cartoons, only a dozen or so were made.

What is so bad about them anyway? Forget about the "budget" nonsense.

This area is known to have some really nice houses; Bethlehem and Allentown more so than Easton. Anyhow the folks think I should get out more...:) What'cha mean by early Jones? Stuff he drew back in the 30s? Maybe the one(s) with Clampett, but ah dunno...:p

Redrawns. A little hard on the eyes, but at least the stories should be good. Sometimes I can more or less ignore the poor visual quality, esp. if the story is amusing. By the way Sveven I enjoyed Seasin's Greetinks over the weekend.:D

Isn't "badly redrawn" redundant?

I'm so sick and tried of Scooby Doo, Johnny Bravo, and the rest of the crap.UUGGHH

....I like Ed, Edd, and Eddy. Early Chuck Jones is fine...but Doo and Dietch? Maybe we should add a category called "feces turn white"...that'd be less painful that another screening of "Dicky Moe", or seeing The Harlem Globetrrotters or the latter-day Three Stooges hobnob with the Mystery Machine Gang....

CMJ, of course. Check my Sniffles avatar. And, um, you could relax a little....

I voted for early Chuck Jones (I'd rather sit through "Tom Thumb in Trouble" than an E, E & E ep featuring those detestable Canker sisters; I mean, there is no plausible reason for them to exist).

Edit: Could someone provide some examples of redrawn cartoons?

I voted for Scooby. All the others are played enough anyway, except the T&J cartoons, some of which I like ,but I don't want to watch them all back to back. Scooby Doo is not all that bad, he's just overplayed. If they showed Scooby Doo like they did when I first got CN, I'd watch often...remember when it was an hour long, and they aired episodes from different eras/programs?It was always a surprise... For example, you'd get a Scooby Movie episode sometimes, or two "Where are You" shows, or a mix of 2 half-hours, (programs on the list would be "Scooby Doo Where Are You", "Scooby Doo Show", "Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo", "Thirteen Ghosts", etc.) I don't think any Scooby series as a whole was terrible at all, it's just that there are probably a handful of episodes from each that I like and the rest I would rather change the channel on. There are die-hard Scooby watchers out there, apparently, and they all say Scrappy Doo or the movie guest stars are terrible. I disagree, each series had its highlights. there was a Scrappy episode that introduced the character, I didn't mind that one, and there was one where Scooby, Daphne, Shaggy and Scrappy go to see Shaggy's sister get married, and introduces us to Scooby's family and a ghost trying to ruin the wedding. The few episodes involving all 4 "Meddling Kids" plus Scooby and Scrappy together were good, and the earlier episodes with "Scooby Dum" were some of the best. The "Scooby Doo Where Are You" episodes are the overplayed ones, and there's very little variation in plot in this early series, you've seen 3 or 4, you've seen them all. The episode with the "Creeper", the Chinese temple one, and the mummy one are the ones I remember most vividly. I watch Scooby Doo on occasion, but I just get so sick of it being on ALL the TIME....and it's always the same old episodes over and over. 3 hours of Scooby Doo is fine with me as long as they do something different once in a while.

This is true. I, for one, love Scooby-Doo, but they only show the ones that seem to please "the fans"-which means as little of Scrappy and beyond as possible. The problem with the New Scooby Movies is the edits for time, which are the worst type of editing (given that there is no reason for it). I've also noted that some eps of the Scooby-Doo Show (the late 70s one with Scooby-Dum) are sped up, to say nothing about how they totally screw with the commercial breaks on the older ones. Which leaves a number of overplayed eps, amny of which are already on video. In fact, why not just release them all on video, and then cut back on the showings a bit, or mix up which shows are shown, as opposed to giving each incarnation (except the ultra-funny 13 Ghosts) its own time slot?

I wouldn't watch Ed Edd N Eddy if I was paid to do it! Scooby Doo isn't that bad, but I don't usually watch it.
