Well, I presume everyone has read the World's Finest news page about the Jla so here are my thoughts on the new things mentioned there

Superman

His design is pretty cool and I'm glad Bruce Timm made him more of a leader than the boyscout. I do hope that Superman won't have a light red color on his underwear or it would just look weird, but I did wish Timm kept in the black undies with the red shading. That looked much cooler to me, but I do have faith.

Batman

I think his ears should be the same from the TNBA designs, it's just too long for me, but I can get used to it. I'm glad Bruce has those abs showing on his costume (mentioned in the news page) showing what all that training ever since he was a kid pulled off. Even though I like that Bat emblem, on his chest, I liked the emblem with the Yellow oval better.

I like them. They stay true to the current animated designs, but are tweaked enough to make them seem so different and more adavnced. I'm eager to see how the more detailed background will work out.

I wonder if Batman's design will change in Gotham Aventures too?

The pic of Lex Luthor was fairly small. As far as I could tell he has the same head its just enclosed by the helmet. The helmet is solid with a transparent visor. It doesn't look that bad. Bruce Timm said that an episode would explain why he's wearing the suit now. Plus it'll probably allow him to actually fight Superman on a physical level now.

Hey, Thanks Tim Drake for replying!

Anyway, can you tell me if Luthor has the exact costume from the SuperFriends or fairly close to the costume from the old show? Can you at least tell me the percentage of how the suit in the new animated series compares to the one from SuperFriends?

Also, are the colors purple and green like in SuperFriends or does it at least have a darker shade to make it less campy?

(I know it's hard to tell the details from the small image you're talking about but it would help if you could answer my questions to the best of your ability...thanx)

With the exception of Batman's ears having to great of a curviture IMO it looks good.

Ironically Timm's apparently used a design from the BTAS, that he had considered using. I saw it in the book.

There are actually two designs.

One of them is Luthor in his armor suit. It looks somewhat like an exoskeleton. I don't know if any of you remember the Lex Luthor action figure, but its SOMEWHAT similar to that design. Its looks ok, just trust me its not horrible.

The second is him out of the suit. He's wearing a purple shirt and black pants. I got the impression that the outfit was still not for corporate use. Maybe something for outdoors, not entirey sure though.

Hey guys! I'm back with my latest view of the JLA, and since the pictures have been posted, this makes things easier for me

Green Lantern

I've never read up on the John Stewart character of Green Lantern but I'm sure the writers will do a good job on him. I was expecting Kyle Rayner to take up the role but I guess you can't always get what you want. The design is pretty cool and is a fresh new look on the Green Lantern suit.

The Flash

He's one of my favorite DC Characters of all time and I definitely like how they transferred the comic version exactly into the Bruce Timm style of animation design. I also hope they keep Flash's speed from the comics rather than Flash having that speed where it took 5-10 min. to circle the globe in that Superman episode. But I guess it would be boring having a 3 second episode, wouldn't it.

The Martian Manhunter

Another great comic to animation translation of the costume. He's very cool looking and is exactly what I imagined him to be! I hope the writers keep all of his martian powers so he can kick some ass!

I think my favorite of the designs has to be The Flash. He just likes The Flash should. Tall and lanky. Apart from being the black token character, I think one reason they with John Stewart is becuase they already the 20-something angst comic relief coming from Wally, but they fail to realize that the conversations between Wally and Kyle in the comics are always hilarious, and could have been great for he show.
