i saw i last night and was very dissapointed. i was really let down, cause i thought the first one was one of the best movies ever and the second was really good too, but this one was just bad. i knew it wouldnt be as good as the first 2 (especially since spielberg didnt direct it and criton never wrote a jp3), but i didnt expect it to be just plain bad. the plot was weak, the characters were hard to care about, and is it me or was there no climax? it just seemed to end abruptly, and the way it ended made now sense. SPOILER AHEAD.....you mean to tell me the us gov wouldnt send troops to save that kid, but one call from dr. sadler and they all show up right away, within, what, a few hours from when dr. grant called her? that was stupid. i was SO let down. the effects werent even as good as i expected. lots of the dinosaurs (the non cgi ones) looked so stiff and fake. but there were some great scenes, effects wise, it just wasnt consistant. i did, however, like the little follow up story of dr. grant and sadler's relationship. that was nice, but the movie just sucked so much that its like those characters shouldnt have even been there. wow, i was really let down. and alot of it was just cheesy and stuff. what did you all think of it?

Well, if you recall what Mr. Kirby said, they TRIED that already. and it didn't work. But since they knew where the island was, and that they were on it, they went after them.
I loved it. It was a good movie. It wasn't the best one..by no means was it a great one. But it's still a movie that you can sit down and enjoy. Don't dwell on every mistake the dinosaurs made. I mean..come on...it's gotta be a pain the butt to movie that spinosaurus!!

I may risk being flamed for this...but I never cared for the Jurassic movies. They are not in my DVD collection for a reason.

I agree. Movies like JP3 are meant to be philosophical stuff, but just pocorn movies, and JP3 was just that - a kick ass fun popcorn movie. True, outside of Sam Neill, the cast was pretty interchangeable and I wish Tea Lioni got chewed, but I still enjoyed it - and may see it again.

I loved JP3, I saw it Friday and thought it was awesome although there wasn't much of an ending though. Tea Leoni gave the eggs back, Sam Neill blew a friggin' whistle, in comes the calvalry, and that's all she wrote? I mean come on! Ya gotta give us more than that!!

Just saw it. It was good, but a bit short. I didn't like Part Two, so it was good to see them take shots as it (they wanted to believe it didn't exist, and so did I).

I liked it okay, but it kind of sucked (for the record, I like alot movies that suck). It's mindless action, which is normally okay, but for a JP movie, I agree, I was let down. I still enjoyed it and own it on DVD, but it wasn't worthy of the JP name.

Too many plot holes and continuity errors for my liking. Though it's ok as a comedy if you put it as it's own movie instead of a sequel to the Jurassic Park series, I think.
One major error I saw was they had that one scene with the guys shooting that plane they painted to look like a dino, and they made a big deal about showing it getting blown up with that big gun, and yet they only ended up using a handgun which wasn't even on-screen. :p

Okay--I know it's not supposed to be a philosophical movie. I didn't go in expecting a philosophical movie. But I didn't even enjoy it as a popcorn movie! I thought it was just plain horrible...and why, oh, why did William H. Macy decide to do this movie??? For some reason, the island (which is supposedly the same as in JP2) looks completely different (granted, some time as passed, but where'd all the original buildings go?). The plot seemed very weak...especially the fact that Will H. Macy's character was duped into going on the island. He didn't try cashing the check before-hand? And what was with the raptor talking to Sam Neill on the plane....? I know, I know...it was supposed to be a dream and mildly humorous--but (IMO) it just didn't work. The Spinosaurus was pretty cool, and so were the pteranodons, but the plot just didn't hold up, even for a popcorn movie. I mean, was there ANY POINT to have them stare for 3 seconds at the red T-Rex after they had landed from their little river excursion??? I guess I just REALLY didn't like the movie....sorry for the rant....

I think it was supposed to be a different part of the island, as there is more than one side to approach from on an island. ;)
The Raptor scene on the plane, my only complaint about that was they used the new Raptor... Sure the Raptors in JP3 were more correct than the JP & JP2 raptors, but it would've been a better scene if they had used the same Raptor that Alan had scene from the first one since he most likely had no idea what they would look like after evolving like they did in JP3.

Well, its okay to bump up movie talkbacks to talk about it. In this case, the movie is making its CN debut tonight. Plus the CN forums are for animation only, so a new thread would be out.

Is CN the most random network in the world or not for shows anymore.Maybe they couldn't get the first two licensed or something... *sigh*

Well this movie will be edited to bits on Cartoon Network.:p Eh, the movie was rather bad, way too cheesy for its own good.

Im surprised this is going on CN because, if memory serves, it was the most horror-ish of the films, thin on plot and thick on atmosphere and kills. I enjoyed it for what it was, it was probably about as good as the over-complicated second film.

No idea why this was on Cartoon Network, but I love this movie. The script may feel like little more than fan-fiction (crash on island, look for survivors, get off island), but at least it's fast-paced and fun, and Joe Johnston crafts some nice sequences. It was also nice to finally see pterodactyls in action, after nothing more than the little tease we got at the end of The Lost World. And Sam Neill is back!
Perhaps not as "good" as the first one, but I liked it more than The Lost World, and it's actually the one I watch the most often out of the three.
