Julia Roberts got her pearly whites punched in by a bunch of extinct dinosaurs this past weekend as JP3 trounced passed America's Swwethearts to reign as box office king. Here's the top 10:

1) Jurassic Park 3 - $50,300,000 million ($80.9 mill)
2) America's Sweetheart - $31,000,000 million ($31 mill)
3) Legally Blonde - $11,050,000 million ($43.43 mill)
4) The Score - $10,750, 000 million ($37.15 mill)
5) Cats & Dogs - $6,770,000 million ($72.4 mill)
6) The Fast & The Furious - $5,300,000 ($125 mill)
7) Scary Movie 2 - $4,400,00 million($61.7 mill)
8) Dr.Dolittle 2 - $4,351,000 million ($93. 23 mill)
9) FInal Fantasy - $3,500,00 million ($26.7 mill)
10) Kiss Of The Dragon - $2,862,000 million ($29.6 mill)

JP3 record setting weekend means it is on course for a The Mummy Returns-esque run, and possibly reaching the $200 million mark. Legally Blonde still continued to perform well, while A.I. has fell off the top ten in three weeks, and Final Fantasy is following.

Yay for Dinos, I'll go see it tonight.

It's a cool movie that doesn't hide what it is - a flat out action adventure flick. I had a real good time seeing it. Then again, the Spidey trailer was worth the price alone.

A.I. and Final Fantasy are tanking fast. Wonder if that means we'll get less sci-fi in the future...

That headline sure got me excited! To imagine dinosaurs lurching over Julia Roberts' corpse, eating the remains from her ribs, got me just a little too happy. Bummer you were talking about movies. Dang.

Does sci fi ever really do amazingly great box office numbers? Outside of Star Wars and Star Trek, I mean. I know there are hits, but there are more sci fi movies that show only respectable showings at the box office, then tank. And yet we still get great sci fi films. I doubt this means the end of the genre.

Yeah, it'd be nice. I'm just about sick of her. It's either her crying over her Oscar or being bothered by Bratt. It's just annoying now. I was glad to see JP3 take the easy victory.

I never cared for her. I first noticed her with Pretty Woman, but thought she was annoying then and she never gave me a reason to change my mind. Pity, too. I like some of the talent behind Notting Hill, and would like to see it, but can't bring myself to watch it with her in it. Maybe if I took up drinking heavilly.

I just think she gets way more credit that she does. She'sa good actress yes, but how many times do we have to have that rammed down our throat?

With a little thing called word of mouth, I don't think JP3 will get past $200 million. I did honestly think that it would have performed better this weekend. Looks like The Lost World is still opening weekend champ!
