Thad, you rule! I always love the screwball Daffy, especially in Daffy Duck in Hollywood and The Wise Quacking Duck. I like the greedy Daffy also but the greedy Daffy is garbage compared to screwball Daffy.

goes to the Crazy, Carefree, Screwball Daffy because that is how he was originally intended to be. The other version came later.

I voted for Crazy as well. The other incarnation is more annoying and IMO in poorer quality toons.

Some would argue that there are really 3 Daffys. The crazy Daffy, the more egotistical Daffy from Jones' teamings with Bugs, and the really greedy and, dare I say, evil Daffy who was teamed up with (or against) Speedy. But I doubt anyone would like the anti-Speedy one enough to vote for anyways.

I guess I'm the only one who voted for greedy. Well actually, the Daffy I like best is the hero parody Daffy, i.e. Duck Dodgers, Duck Twacy, Stupor Duck (I know they're all from different directors, but I think they all fit into the same vein.) I wouldn't call this Daffy greedy. I also enjoy the jealous showbiz Daffy. The Daffy who tries to kill Bugs and later Speedy is somewhat annoying. IMO it works in some cartoons, i.e. "Ali Baba Bunny," "The Abominable Snow Rabbit," but is just plain annoying in others, i.e. "Iceman Ducketh," nearly every Daffy/Speedy cartoon, and (I know I'll be going against a big majority here but...) the "Rabbit Seasoning" trilogy. I like the crazy Daffy too. Some of my favorites include "Porky and Daffy," "Wise Quacks," "Porky's Pig Feet," "The Wise Quacking Duck," "Along Came Daffy," "Daffy's Southern Exposure," "Daffy Duck and the Dinosaur," One thing I've always wanted to see is crazy Daffy paired with crazy (pre-'50's) Bugs. Besides for that second in "Porky's Pig Feet."

I voted like most of you for the CRAZY! daffy,he made me laugh more.
When he was all mad and Porky had to deal with him it was just soo funny!

The greedy daffy you see in cartoons such as "Ali baba bunny" and "Duck amuck" are funny too but you can get eslier bored of them.

As for the EVIL daffy,I'm not so sure he was evil, just a bit mean hearted maybe?

I saw references in this thread to "Porky Pig's Feet". Actually "Feet" and "Feat" have very different meanings. Watch the cartoon. The title says "Feat" and the cartoon is clearly about "Feat" so it is a common mistake to say "Feet" with that title.

I voted for silly carefree Daffy, he appeared is some great cartoons (far more cartoons than evil Daffy)

Though, I think perhaps it's how you interpret the character, silly Daffy could be motivated by greed, but it was his personality that makes him different from what most would call "greedy Daffy" (as seen in "Ali Baba Bunny.")

Egotistical Daffy could be good at times, I love a lot of the parodies and such, but it's really a small part of his overall persona, despite what CN bumpers and such tell you.

A crazy screwball or a hot tempered Daffy....
Either way I love Daffy all around, no matter what type of mood he's in.

from the Daffy/Speedy cartoons is like that for a reason. As already pointed out, Daffy had to be like that in order to be a good opponent for Speedy.
