Joker was in more episodes of Batman then any other villian. Which was your favorite?? Mine would have to be between The Laughing Fish, The Last Laugh, and Mad Love. I don't think that I could choose between those 3. What about the rest of you??

Laughing Fish or Mad Love. Funny when you think about, since both are comic adaptations.

My favorite episodes would have to be "The last laugh", "World's Finest" and "Joker's Millions". This insane villain doesn't give up in trying to humiliate and destroy Batman... and that is why I love this guy

--between the atoms in the air I breathe. Although some of the Joker's best moments are when he's made to look like a fool. In no particular order and probably missing several equally good ones:
*Harley and Ivy. Ivy kicks Joker a good one in the cojones--note how high his voice gets when he commands his goons.
* ibid. Joker is running around his hideout in his boxer shorts, and his hyenas snap at him. Already he's distraught...he sees Harley on the front page of the local rag and screams so loud the sign over the door falls crooked.
*The Last Laugh. Again, Joker's in his drawers, and he's got a seedy tin cup stuck on his head. As the cops lead him away he trips and the crowd derisively laughs at him.
*Beware the Creeper. Joker has to beg the Batman on his knees to save his butt from The Creeper! Also notable for Harley's muy suggestive line, "Wanna taste my pie?"
*Christmas with the Joker. He slips on a roller skate and nearly falls into a vat of boiling goo while running away.
*The title escapes me, but it was the ep where he attempted to douse Gotham in laughing gas from garbage barges. Same fool thing, except with a cord that gets snagged on his ankles. Watch for the bit where Batman seems to ponder whether or not to save him or let him fall into the incenerator.
*Again, the title escapes me, but it involved a nightclub using the Joker's distinctive mug and his scheme to blow it up. All the Arkham inmates chorus, "We were watching that!" when he tries to change the channel to escape the news of his latest embarassment.
*Mad Love. His double-take as he gets off the phone with Harley, who has just shown him up, is priceless. Yet I hated to see him abuse her so viciously near the end.
*Joker's Millions. Need I point out the Joker is made to look like an utter horse's a** in this one? Fav bit: Batgirl tells him he'd be crazy to dive in for the money being torn apart by the boat propeller. He replies he doesn't want to save it, he wants to join it!
*Yet again I've forgotten the title, but it's the very first Joker ep I ever saw. A mousy little man who the Joker obsessively stalked for years after a bout of road rage, and nearly does in four years later along with the Gotham PD, gets his revenge on the clown with a novelty bomb. The highlight was a handcuffed Harley realizing she never should have dropped out of school...and of course seeing Joker so scared he's about to soil himself, screaming Batman's name. The music was one of my favorite parts too.

Mad Love, The Laughing Fish, Beware the Creeper or World's Finest. All 4 are really great.

There were so many great Joker eps but I think my favorites would be Laughing Fish and Mad Love.
Laughing Fish because I love the scene where he enters that office to get a license for his JokerFish!
Mad Love because he's just so mean! I think it shows how abusive he really is and not just a clown as some people say.

I did not care for Jokers Millions. I found the story to dumb and dumber all though he has some good lines. Another reason for not liking it was the animation...I thought it was wierd...
BTW...the music they used during his moneyspree, wasn't it used in another episode? I even think it was used in that Superman episode where mxplblahblah..whatever-his-name-is haunts Supes

Cya!

The music during Joker's spending spree was also featured in the SUPERMAN episode called 'Superman's Pal'. That SUPERMAN episode featured music from 'Never Fear' as well. I think this ep had all original music.

I love Harl's jingle in "The Laughing Fish". "Joker's Favor" is high on my list too. And the last scene of "Harlequinade" was classic.

Actually, this is "Make 'Em Laugh."

This one is "The Last Laugh."

*Again, the title escapes me, but it involved a nightclub using the Joker's distinctive mug and his scheme to blow it up.
"Joker's Wild."

"Joker's Favor."

Good choices all.:D

I also didn't care for Joker's Millions. In fact, I'd say it was my least favorite of all the Joker eps. The jokes just weren't funny, and the Joker came off too much like a clown, and not enough like the insane killer he really is. Interestingly enough, this one was also another comic adaptation.

The Laughing Fish wins for best episode, but for best Joker moment, I'd have to go with Harley and Ivy.

Batman is hiding from a hail of bullets on Ivy's poisoned property -- and he calls out to the Joker to tell him to stop shooting because they're all sitting on a powerderkeg. Joker thinks for half a second, then opens fire again, laughing maniacally. When something explodes a few seconds later, his only comment is. "Ooops. Dopey Me."

(A non-episode addition to this would include Joker sinking to his knees, laughing, in front of The Phantasm at the end of MoTP as the park explodes around them all.)

My favorite Joker episodes would have to be "The Laughing Fish", "Joker's milliions", "Old Wounds" and "Mad Love". "Mad Love" is definitley my alltime favorite. That episode showed just how evil The Joker really is:mad:, and it was a great ending to TNBA.

See ya!

Hey:

I think my favorite Joker episode would have to be "Mad Love", the reason for this is because it's the only episode where you saw Harley a normal person, and you got to see how she became sick in the head. We also got to see Jokers anger go through the roof, because he didn't really care for Harley's life, I also thought that the acting was really impresive (but the acting is always impresive I thought it went beyond impresive.) when Harley got pushed out that window I actually thought that she was going to die. But at the end we saw that her mad love for Mr. J was still there.

Hey, don't forget Joker had some pretty cool moments in episodes that weren't really "Joker" episodes.... two in particular come to mind. In "Almost Got 'Im," Batman is hooked up to an electric chair, about to be fried. Joker comes up and casually asks, "So, how's Robin?" I love that line.

Also, who could forget the moment in "Trial," when the inmates take over Arkham and have a trail for Batman, when Harley announces the honorable Judge Joker... and all you see at first is the eyes and that smile appear from the shadows.... crazy stuff!

The Laughing Fish. I have the storyboard lithograph framed and on my wall for inspiration.

I would have liked to have seen an adaptation of The Killing Joke, (possibly done as a dream sequence) but with Standards and Practices, even the title would have been censored.

Mil gracias. I didn't mention "Be a Clown", but that really didn't have a moment where Joker was made to look silly. Though his masquerade as a birthday clown had to be the high point (Bruce recognized him when he heard his archenemy's unmistakable lunatic cackle). Same with "Laughing Fish", although if you listen carefully during the Jokerfish commercial you can hear Harley vomiting loudly off-screen. ;)
Couple more for my list, though:
*The title again escapes me, but the Joker holds Gotham hostage with a nuclear warhead and is quartered at Mayor Hill's mansion...and Batman has to get Harley's help to sniff him out. Harley gets Mr. J twice...once after she hugs him, then turns her heads sharply, bopping him in the eye with a pompom from her cap (ouch!)...then after she gets mad and points the gun (which she doesn't know is fake) at him. "Puddin' " doesn't look too smug at that moment.
* Holiday Knights. Another eye injury for Mr. J...Batman pops him right in the kisser with the cork off a champagne bottle and douses his instruments with wine...then literally drops the ball on the clown.

I agree with MOS. I think the fact that it was based on a graphic novel was a factor in haw great it was. I love the GN. And the episode is like the Mad Love highlight reel.

Joker's Favor: My all-time favorite Batman cartoon. Here, in his first appearence, The Joker is presented as a genuinely scary sociopath and quite willing to kill both his intended victims and random innocent bystanders. The writing is top-notch as is the animation. The concept that The Joker would terrorize and try to kill a random passerby and his family for no particular reason rings true to the Joker's philosophy (that life is pointless because someone like The Joker can show up and end it at any time for any reason). Besides, this show got the show it's first hate mail, but a distraught mother who's son was scared to tears by Mark Hammill's creepy work. With the possible exception of the flashback scene of ROTJ, this is the closest that the animated series as come to representing the true Joker.

Be a Clown: Not a bad effort, as it shows The Joker willing to blow up a child's birthday party based on a random comment by the Mayor. The byplay between Joker and the mayor's son is amusing and well-written, even if he spends too much time wearing that silly fake clown mask.

The Last Laugh: A decent show, again showing The Joker randomly attacking the city for no particular reason. Still, he is not presented as very scary or dangerous, but rather a merry prankster.

The Strange Secret of Bruce Wayne: Several genuinely funny Joker one-liners among the few worthwhile virtues of The Joker's appearence in this team-up show. Of course, I can't hate any show that gives us The Joker's answering machine messege, which is utterly perfectly in character.

Almost Got Im: One of the best shows of the series. The Joker isn't particuraly scary, but he is genuinely funny and murderous.

Christmas With The Joker: This was allegedly toned down from the original script and it shows. I hate the idea of Gordon and Bullock being helpless hostages. Still, a couple of morbid one-liners help things.

Joker's Wild: Aside from the dumb scene where the Joker escapes from an asylum where the doors don't lock, this is a fun, goofy episode with The Joker willing to kill hundreds of bystanders just to get one guy who slighted him (note: this is the first episode where we see that The Joker's name is Jack Napier).

The Laughing Fish: One of the best Joker shows, as he is presented as suitably creepy and again being willing to murder innocent people for the slightest of reasons. The fish commercial is a hoot as well.

Harley and Ivy: The worst Joker drawings of the original series. The Joker is also presented as an incompatent baffoon and a common thief. The Harley/Ivy team up works, but The Joker does not come off well here.

The Man Who Killed Batman: The best animation and drawings of the Joker ever. Terrific and insightful dialogue throughout, dealing with his relationship to Batman make this a classic.

Mask of the Phantasm: Portrayed as murderous and scary, as well as very funny. Of note, this was intended to be the series finale had more episodes not been ordered. Thus, when the climax was intended to be the actual, final death of The Joker.

The Trial: Nothing special here, Joker-wise (the episode overall is a classic) but Hamill doing an Irish priest is funny.

Harlequinaide: Again, Joker is seen willing to kill, well... everyone in Gotham due purely to sloth. Not particuraly scary, but vicious and mean.

Make Em Laugh: The Joker should never wear a normal suit. Anyway, not one of the best episodes as his scheme feels toned-down for kiddie TV.

Holiday Knights: For the first time in the series, The Joker kills people onscreen. Not very scary, but obviously murderous. A worthwhile show, even if I dislike the new Joker look that would follow.

World's Finest: How can I hate any episodes which show The Joker killing hundreds of people. Even without that, the show is still funny and well written and acted (love how Joker defends Batman against Luther's slander). All three parts are terrific.

Joker's Millions: The worst Joker show ever. He is presented as a clumsy, bumbling, unthreatening baffoon. Niether funny nor dangerous. A stinker.

Old Wounds: Again, Joker is shown being willing to commit mass murderand gets off several funny one-liners in the bargain. Some of the better Joker animation of the new look.

Beware The Creeper: Portrayed as vicious and muderous in the first half, then bumbling and foolish in the last. He does murder a guy onscreen, which always earns a point or two. A half-way decent episode.

Mad Love: The Joker is portrayed as murderous, conniving, a notable fighter and as a vicious little punk. Too bad all of the issues dealt with here were already discussed in Harlequinade. I know the graphic novel came first, but the show is out of date.

Return of the Joker: Aside from the boring new outfit and hairdo, The Joker is portrayed as he should be according to the comics. The only faults, character-wise, comes in the flashback scene when he expresses digust at Batman's origin (which is just as The Joker would have guessed and approved of) and at the climax, when he claims to have hated Batman's guts (we all know its a lot more complicated than that... they both needed each other).
