this is not about a "Whoa" or "I know kung fu" reset. i remember watching the Matrix he seemed pretty skinny. i then watched Speed when it was aired on TV and he seemed well muscled, not ripped but certainly not skinny like he was in the Matrix. considering he did Speed first, how did he look the way he did? if he didn't lift weights from time between Speed and the Matrix, his muscles would maybe sag a bit but it shouldn't have disappeared.

Skinny in the real world or skinny in the Matrix?
Maybe it's just the way he was dressed?
While were on the subject does anyone find it odd that he has played the Buddha (the founding one, the Indan ex-prince, sorry can't remember his original name) and two messianic figure (Neo in the Matrix and Ted in.... well you know)?

Siddartha? I don't know. I guess that's never struck me as odd.

Yes, he was playing siddhartha. To be honest the only character that I EVER bought keanu reeves playing was Ted. Ted was cool. Since then he's placed an FBI agent, a police officer, a chocolate salesman/soldier, the buddha, the savior of the human race, a football player, and little league baseball coach. (i'm sure I missed some stuff, but come on, I don't want to see ALL of his movies). And every time I see him I think: "wasn't there someone else? Surely there are many actors in the world who could have played this part".
sorry for the rant, I really don't like Keanu reeves. Anyway, to answer your question, its highly likely that for the part, keanu dropped some weight. But he was also wearing baggy clothes that were black, so that probably helped a bit too.

Don't forget his random appearances in the costume drama genre, Dangerous Liasons and . . .groan . . .Bram Stoker's Dracula.

shoot. I had successfully blocked that movie from my memory. But now, yeah, I remember that. That also brought back the movie "The Devil's Advocate" from my memory as well. That movie was so cool, even Keanu had difficulty messing it up.

You guys didn't like the movie or the fact that Keanu was in it?
