About a week ago, while reading one of the threads here, I got hit with some really annoying pop-up ads. I'm not sure if it's something to do with Toonzone or if someone planted a cookie to make them pop-up, but if there's anyway to get rid of them PERMANENTLY, please let me know.
I don't want my Adult Swim message board experience ruined...

Toon Zone doesn't have pop-ups. Check to see if you have a program called Gator installed. It forces pop-ups to appear randomly.
Pray you don't have Gator installed. I do tech support for Dell, and you wouldn't believe the headaches that thing has given me...

Try Ad-aware (http://www.lavasoft.de), it can get rid of a number of spyware/adware programs on a Windows OS.

I did not have gator installed.
Mainly it was because I did once about 3 years ago and have never even considered it again.
Three Programs I removed:
Downloadware
Network something or other
Movie something or other
After uninstalling one of the 2nd two, one of the pop-ups I had been getting appeared. The strange part is that the pop-ups onlys howed up while I was on Toonzone...

Crapola...
So as soon as I post my last post, the pop-ups showed up again...
I've now emptied all my cookies and deleted all of my offline files as well as upping my security rating... hopefully that will solve all problems.

Ouch, cross your fingers.
I ran AdAware on my computer a few weeks ago.. there were like 20 Gator things, I'll bet half of them at least are my sister's fault. I am SO glad it's all gone, I hope.

Gain/Gator fortunately labels it's pop-ups with it's name in the very top of the browser window. That's how I caught onto it. It has it's name in that little blue bar at the window top in IE.
Make sure that you get rid of Offer Companion too. It's by Gator, and if you don't get rid of that too, the problem continues.
