I'm planning on making a site with info on Adult Swim Action and Comedy and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a good place to host it? I don't want any ads and I'm willing to pay as long as it's not greatly expensive. Also, I would prefer a .com name.

Try Smoovenet.com. $5.75/month. I hope they're still open for accounts.

I use MyHosting.com and have been really happy with their service and they have a $10/month plan. There's another company (http://www.aspwebserver.com/) that offers a $50/year plan which is less than $5 a month, but I've never used them so I'm not sure of their quality.
One thing I did when I was looking for a webhost for my site(s) about a year ago was I just went to Google and typed in "Web Hosting" and went from there.

HOST: http://www.freewebz.com
100Megs of Space, 100Megs of transfer, All for free without ads or banners. For an additional $2-5/month you get additional features like more space (if you need it)
DOMAIN NAME: Same Site
Since hosting and domain names are different things, you'll need both. After signing up with Freewebz, simply click the selection marked "Domains" and buy your own domain for $18/year - it automatically goes to your existing freewebz account and site. This also reduces the headache of coloborating your host and domain name and learning to use FTP programs. Actually FTP is kinda fun, but it's better NOT to have to upload your site each time you update it.
