Which movie do you want to see more?
If you could only watch one of these two movies then which one would you pick?
I hope Spider Man has a good opening week, which it will because it's all downhill once Star Wars hits.

Well, seeing as how I've seen every other SW, I don't think I'd forgive myself if I missed this one, so I'd have to go with SW over Spidey... not that I'm not excited about him

If I could only see one...I'd probably choose spiderman. I am a big star wars fan, but episode 1 was such a let down that although I hear episode 2 will be good, I just don't want to trust the film makers that much.
Thankfully I don't have to choose, I'm going to see both. :D

Star Wars without a doubt. I like Spider-man and all, but I'm a way bigger Star Wars fan. Luckily, though, I don't have to choose between them! :p

If I had to choose (fortunately I don't :D) I'd go with Star Wars. I'm a bigger fan of that series (I've seen every one so far) than Spider-Man. Even though I found Episode One forgettable, it was entertaining.
I would definately pick Spider-Man. I like Star Wars, but I'm not really into it like a lot of other people. Plus I'm a huge Spidey fan, so that's another reason I want to see Spider-Man more.
I'm planning on seeing both anyway. :D

Well, I would be torn, but in the end I would have to go with Star Wars. I'm a huge fan, and I've seen all the movies, so I would never miss this one. But, thankfully, I don't have to choose! :D
See ya!

Like a lot of other people here, I'd have to go with Star Wars also. Even though the movie looks like it's going to be good, I just can't get worked up over Spider-Man right now.

Spider-Man. I just ordered my tickets online for the late show tonite. I've been waiting for this movie since the beginning of the legal problems as far back as I can remember. This is the only movie that has got me as excited as the first Batman.
Star Wars - I'll probably see it a few days after opening but I am not as excited as Spider-Man.

Gotta go with Star Wars. Seeing Yoda in action with the lightsaber will be worth the price of admission by itself!!

Star Wars. Definitely.
But, I guess I can't say that, because I already saw Spider-Man.. :p

Spiderman. I love Star Wars (although not as much as the funky hardcore fans) but Spidey's my favorite earth's punching bag loner, and I'm sticking with him. :p

Yeah, gotta go with Spidey. He was my favorite comic character the whole time I read them. Then like some of you said, there's that whole episode one sucking thing. Plus it looks like it will rock hard.

No comparrison.
Spider-Man will rock, but Star Wars is Star Wars- end of story.

Ok, this is a bit off topic, but why are you disappointed with Ep 1? Granted, Anakin couldn't act worth a damn, and Jar Jar was just... well, let's never speak of him again... but seeing two full-fledged Jedi Knights (not some old guy, or a beat-to-**** robo-sith, or some punk fresh outta Dagobah) fight a Sith was uber-cool.

Star wars has been going on for the last decade. Not that Spiderman hasn't... But this is his first film, I would undoubtly miss Episode II for Spiderman if I was given the decision...

Considering I already seen Spider-Man, just yesterday, I guess it would have to be Star Wars...but pretending that I hadn't seen Spidey yet...definitly SPIDEY!! It was an ausome movie...every thing I expected and much more...unbeleivable how real everything looked!!

Star Wars. TPM shook my faith, but I've been hooked since I saw the original on its first release at the age of seven. Got to go with the classic.

I've seen Spider-Man and it still wins out over Attack of the Clones. Just a bigger Spider-Fan.
Oh and Maxis Zeus, that "Darth Administrator" tag is really amusing. :)

Definitely Star Wars.
I've seen Spider-Man, and even though I was really looking forward to it, I was kinda disappointed. I thought the movie was good, but not as good as it could have been. I still can't wait for the sequel!

In anticipation, Spider-Man. Spider-Man was the first comic I read (Web of Spider-Man #49) and led me to Batman, Superman, The X-Men, Hulk and a pile of other great comic characters. I've been waiting for this movie for ages, and I'm stoked that it's finally here.
As for box office, Star Wars will easily rule. 'The Phantom Menace' was an ok installment of the franchise and it grossed over $430 mill (exact numbers, anyone?) and was a massive hit. I've been seeing nothing but positive reviews for Episode 2, and I predict it'll crack $500 million. Spider-Man will finish out with $200 - 300 million.
And I agree with Fallout Boy. While I'm not a big SW fan, I wanna see Yoda in action. Plus I hear the last 30 minutes and the lightsaber duels are amazing. I do like those duels. :)

TPM made $431 mil (you were close enough).
However, I don't think AOTC will make more. If you think about the original trilogy, everyone says ESB was much better than ANH. ANH has grossed about $461 mil to this point, and ESB is only around $290 mil. Everyone says ESB is the best out of all the SW movies, and yet it's also the lowest grossing. I don't think AOTC will gross very little, but I don't think it'll break TPM's mark (unless the word-of-mouth pushes it's gross to higher levels in mid-summer).
As for Spider-Man, I think all bets are off after that opening weekend! At first I thought it would get to around $200 mil, but if it can hold on to some of it's business after AOTC comes out, it end up around $350-$400 mil.

Agreed. Spider-Man's weekend gross makes this totally open now. Spider-Man had no competition whatsoever when opening. If the movie keeps up this pace, or even slips a little, it can still put a dent in SW Ep2's weekend gross. With SW Ep2 no doubt sold out long before opening weekend, people will flock to see Spider-Man again (or for the first time - for shame!). I think SW Ep2 will reach $100 by Sunday, but only becuase it opens on a Thursday. Heck - it could reach $120 million, but I think Spider-Man's opening records are safe. As to which will be more popular...it all depends on which movie has the stronger legs.
