doing an Internet search for Batman Beyond. I was visiting the newsgroups for both Batman Beyond and Superman, but was looking for more info about the shows. That's how I found the World's Finest website. I didn't even find the boards right away, just went there to check updates. Then I eventually wandered over to the boards, looked around, said "eh" and went my way. Over time, tho, I went back more and more with shorter gaps between visits, and then had something to post one day.

I didn't think it was luck. Just did a search on the Internet til I found a good site about Batman and Superman, then stuck around. No other site like it!

I'm suprised one of the choices isn't "Through the website" since these boards are apart of a website. Then again, barely anyone knows that, which is a shame.

It was a bit of a long time ago really...I was just fishing around the web for Animaniacs stuff and stumbled upon this site...well, the old one anyway. I didn't have cable and hadn't seen Animaniacs since it was taken off the Fox network, but I knew it still existed somewhere, and I had 2 six-hour tapes of it. I was flipping through the "news" part of the toonzone web site and found out that they were stopping the production of A! the next month. I went right to the bulliten board and whined hysterically as if the people there could actually do anything about it. About 2 weeks after the WB network stopped showing Animaniacs, my parents got cable.

I entered a search for the new show XMEN EVOLUTION. That brought me up to my pal Nass's sight, which eventually led me here.

And DG, i came here first for the sight and second for the boards. Now it's about fifty fifty. I check the news first then come over to the boards.

I was just looking around yahoo for Batman Beyond and Batman episode guides. I wound up at Toonzone. After a few times there, I noticed a link to an affiliate of theirs. The WF! After I found what I was looking for, I surfed through their site and noticed they had message boards. And the rest is history.....

Ya know, with all the WF history that's gone on for years and years, I just realized something I haven't before. I owe everything to Robin III. His BATMAN THE ANIMATED HOMEPAGE was absolutely the best Batman site I have ever seen. And that was pretty nice to because in that search that's exactly what I was looking for. ;)

Anyway! Through his awesome site, I said well ya might as well pay your respects to the message board too huh? At the time, to avoid naming confusion and simularity I chose the handle "Nightbat". Something like a year later I realized there weren't any "Nightwings" so I decided to change it.

From BATMAN THE ANIMATED HOMEPAGE's message board, "Alfred's Message Board", I found the other boards that I visited regularly as well. Such as the BAT TOON BOARD. Things went on nice and smoothly, eventually introducing me to a poster named "KidsWB!" who would later decide to change his handle to the one he had on the official WB boards: DickGrayson. lol

Then I just held on for the ride, cuz it was the best there was, and still is.

Kinky, aint it.

THis WHOLE site (well, WF) all began because of one board, SUPERMAN: THE ANIMATED MESSAGE BOARD. A week later, I put up a BATMAN and BATMAN BEYOND Board and things grew. I had a friend (dubbed E. Nygma) whip up a site to connect th eboards, but after he dissapeared, RobinIII stepped up and made THE WORLD'S FINEST DISCUSSION CENTER. One email he made a remark about having trouble updating both his page and WFDC, so I suggested he combine them, and it literally grew from there. This whole place started becuase there were no good SUPERMAN boards up in 1998. Now look at the place. I highly regarded newspage, some great sections, and the best message boards on the net (even top creators say it is). It can't get much better than this, although we'll do our best to top ourselves. There is more to the site hisatory and the constant board host changes (that's an ugly story, actually...) but hey, this place wouldn't be interesting without some controversy every once and a while. This place has definatly changed. And there are some changes coming this fall that only a handful of people know about that is unavoidable. But this is a great place, a place I'm proud to brag about. :)

I also found this place via searching on yahoo! for Batman Beyond. For an American animated series by WB with three seasons (or was it four?), it sure doesn't have a lot of webpages on it. Anyway, I hopped around the links, and found myself here :)

I found this site from looking up Batman on the net...and I popped in on some sites but did not interest me but these boards are something else, nothing compares to this site ...so I decided to become a member and voilą the rest is history :)

Found this place through a post DG made on the WB boards

Hey, DG, these are the best boards around. I know I've posted it before, but it's always a good thing to just say it every now and then. And it's pretty cool to know that some top creators look in on us every now and then. Kinda makes it feel like we're a part of something worth while!

Thanx Cal. I think participation by both the mods and posters always need to be inter mingled and sort of progressive in order to get good conversations. I see boards where the mods don't participate, and they're crazy. Posters need to know that we're here to help.:)

It's in the gourd family I believe? Don't some third world countries put them out at harvest time the way we display pumpkins here? j/k :)

Heh. 'bourd' is just mxy's usual misspelling. I meant to fix that...

Calhoun07
07-23-2001, 09:13 PM
Mxy did edit it once it became known to him that he made the error. However, it only changed the name of the thread on the top of this page, not on the main AniGen board page. Unfortunately (as I learned personally myself) when we edit the titles of our posts, it does not change the one that shows up in yellow on the main board page.

Yeah, Mods fix the title of the thread itself, not the post. As I said, I meant to change that...
