"Nasty Quacks"
Daffy at his most obnoxious and whacky as he contends with an irate father. Along with Daffy's raucous behavior at the breakfast table, the ending has to be the best part--who knew that duckling was a girl? My, cartoon ducks sure breed fast, huh? Watch for a couple of Three Stooges refs--Daffy imitates Joe Besser, then does the sugar-in-the-coffee bit from "Three Dark horses". Anyone else think the girl in this short was the model for TTA's Elmyra?
"All Fowled Up"
Fav lines: "This is gonna cause more confusion than a mouse at a burlesque show!" "Of all the kinds'a chickens in the world, I end up wit' a Plymouth Rock!" Vintage Foggy--embarrassing Dawg and having to contend with a hungry Henery simultaneously.
"The Mouse On 57th Street"
A mouse causes no end of trouble by getting into the world's biggest rum cake and swiping the world's biggest diamond. The cops were the highlight of the short--not quite sure why every time the big one sees the diamond, his first instinct is to hit or shoot it. Fav bit--the mouse, having been mistaking for a novelty brooch, crawls very slowly up a woman's chest, and she does a slow burn before emitting a loud shriek. And after all that--he goes back for more cake. Heh heh heh.
