My nephew had always given me a hard time about recording every single episode of the Bat series. Well I got him to watch ROTJ last night and he was very impressed. We had just seen Final Fantasy and he liked ROTJ better.

Then he asked if he could watch the rest of my Batman tapes. I've think I've won over a new Batfan.

Way to go Croc!!! Whenever i show people my Bat-stuff, they always tell me it was good, or that they liked it. But i never can tell if they really mean it, or if they're just being nice. Then again, how can you not like this stuff?:)

Anybody who likes intelligent story telling and good action will like this show, if they give it a chance.

I agree. I got my best friend hooked on BB by accidently bringing REBIRTH to his place one time. Since then, he's been wanting to see all the new episodes I can get my hands on. He was totally floored by ROTJ (unedited) when I showed him.

It's just sad when people don't give the show a chance and make fun of it without ever watching it.

The power of a great show can't be denied, ya know! The show is real easy to like. Great action, great stories, and great characters. The three basic elements you need right there.

Well I'd like to agree with you, DG, but I'm too busy laughing Dr. Evil style that more and more batfanboys are popping up. Muahahahaa. ;)

Not to boast, but all those people turned batfanatics just shows how right we really are! lol!

Oh yeah - I agree! The more we "convert" the more we prove just how much Batman kids major booty!

every kid I know, likes Batman over Superman. I dunno what it is, but when I ask who's your favorite Super-hero, they say "batman!". Ahhh... to convert another...hehe. I converted my cousin over..then she found Nintendo...sheesh..it's now Nintendo instead of Batman..AH well..

Both Batman and Superman are quickly easilly recognizable figures in pop culture. And that is important for kids (and adults) to take notice of a character. You hardly, if ever, will see a superhero with a complex costume make it big. Simplicity is the key, and Batman and Superman are examples of simplicity in design. That's important for getting your character quickly recognized. And that's the first thing I noticed about Picachu before that character really took off, that that character had a simplicity of design that would help the character be more popular. And it was.

Sadly, I've never been to a con but would love to. I think it's the only place in the world you can track down a copy of the Star Wars Christmas Special.

Calhoun07, my friend, you DO NOT want to see the Christmas Special -believe me, I own a copy, and it's the worst piece of drivel I've seen since The Avengers movie. It really has scared me for life... even now... the pain... is... too... <sob>... great...

Yeah, I did post that, but I think it was on the Neverending thread. How did the quote wind up here???? I don't know if it was in the Neverending thread, it may have been elsewhere, but it's still puzzling how it wound up being posted as a reply here.

Anyway....I survived the Fantastic Four movie, so I think I could survive watching the Christmas Special one more time. I haven't seen the Avengers movie tho...sounds like it could be good fun. That is such a bad movie, it would almost be fun to watch it.

BTW, I do have the Captain America movie on VHS. I paid one dollar for it.

Good question - how did that quote end up here? I posted a reply to a thread about conventions, and it appeared in this thread instead? How strange. I spend half my time trying to get onto the damned message boards, and then when I finally get on, my replies leap about like Sam Becket!

You've seen the Fantastic Four movie? The Roger Corman one? What's it like? I heard it was actually bearable, and I saw a small picture of Doctor Doom (my favourite Marvel villain!) and he looked kinda cool! Spill the beans, my friend..!

And how exactly DO you spell Becket, anyway..?

It's possible a mod felt your post fit better on this forum or that, so he/she moved it. Or maybe a fellow poster just cut-and-pasted some text. Was it just copied or physically moved?

As to the name: one t for martyred archbishop Thomas, and two for the doctor from Quantum Leap, who was presumably named for the writer of Waiting for Godot.

Now I want to see the SW Christmas special too. I wonder if Rocky has a copy....?

There's four copies of the Star Wars Christmas special for sale at eBay right now. Looks like they run about $40.00, but you might luck into a cheap Buy It Now if you're diligent about looking.
